The other day a post from,

and stated this...

I feel quite stupid. I signed up to that website and it took my info then broke the link so who knows who got my details or what happened to them?

Well after reading that, I wrote to..

Timothy Andrews
Executive Director
Australian Taxpayers’ Alliance

I requested permission to reprint material from their web site.

Today I received another generic email requestiong my membership, however as of writing this post I have NOT had any reply to my email.

This is why I have not been posting and further promoting this particular group.

I hope that they are genuine but until I receive a reply, which is simple courtesy, I cannot in good consience continue to promote them.

I will do one thing though, and that is to ask if anyone else has an alternative and active group as I am genuinely motivated to help quash this rediculous impost on the average Australian, so please feel free to offer any helpful suggestions.

cheers

In reference to the above that I have been attempting to contact Timothy Andrews.

Well to his credit, ( and my relief) today I did receive a response from Mr. Andrews, which I will paste below.

And also I will further now go forward to offer some other news that his organization has uncovered that will most likely enrage more than a few of us.

Here is his email reply...

Dear XXXXXX,
Many thanks for your email - and my apologies for not responding sooner. however, I did not seem to have received your previous email - sorry!
You are, however, able to reprint anything from our website provided you provide a link back to us.
My apologies once again,

Re: Australians against the CARBON TAX, please read, help is here... We can stop it now.
Here is a generic email that I also received today, reprinted in whole with permission.

I wonder when or even if the MSM will have the guts to seriously persue these examples of extreme waste of Australian Taxpayers money.

These figures are highly reminesent of the Roof Bats affair, and most other "projects" that this current government has so incompently and pathetically attempted to execute on our behalf and for our benefit?????

Dear XXXXX

In just two weeks Aussie families will be slugged with a carbon tax to pay for a ‘green utopia’.
But where is this money really going? And are our carbon tax bureaucrats practicing what they preach?
We did a little digging, and discovered what many long suspected: While Aussie families are struggling, bureaucrats are living the high life and travelling to exotic destinations at our expense.
Documents released to the Australian Taxpayers’ Alliance under Freedom of Information laws revealed that bureaucrats in the Department of Climate change flew 6,528,616km last financial year, costing us a staggering $3,274,286.40!
And while these very people are lecturing us to act like we’re back in the dark ages the carbon emissions of these flights equal over 1000 tonnes!
The hypocrisy is staggering – it’s one rule for them, and another rule for us. No wonder they are happy to slug airlines with the carbon tax – they don’t have to pay the bill!
So where were they flying to?
None other than the holiday resorts of Cancun, Vanuatu, Maiami, Fiji, The Maldives, Grenada, Maimi, Barcelona… Must be tough having to travel to places like the Caribbean & South Pacific all the time!
The actions of Department staff make one thing clear: the carbon tax isn’t about the environment, it’s about squeezing taxpayers for their own benefit.
And of course, it’s only the best in luxury travel for our bureaucrats – no expense is spared! Many of these flights cost the taxpayers up to ten times what an online economy class ticket would cost.
A round trip from Sydney to Bali cost for one person $15,311!!!!! I had a look on Jetstar just now, and you could get economy flight for under $700! Then there’s the flight to Seaul ($15,688.57), Thailand ($13,093.74pp for two people), Chile ($12,805.46)…
And this doesn’t even include accommodation: From $21,115.69 for a 5 star hotel in Thailand to the whopping $265,000 for the delegation in Durban.
We asked who took these flights, but they refused to answer. It is no wonder that the department of climate change refused to reveal who took these flights – I’d be ashamed too if this was found out. We shall be appealing this decision, because the Australian public has a right to know whose holidays they are paying for!
This is just the first tranche of a series of documents we received under Freedom of Information laws, and thank you to everyone whose donation made this possible (we were charged over $750!) We shall be releasing further data discovered about waste and misuse of taxpayer funds soon.

Australians must known about these scams! Please forward this to your friends, share it on Facebook: and on Twitter , and make sure everyone knows the truth so we can AXE THIS TAX!

Re: Australians against the CARBON TAX, please read, help is here... We can stop it now.
This thread did lose quite a bit of its original inertia when I felt that we were being ignored by the management of Taxpayers.org, but as the last couple of posts have revealed, there has been a very positive turn around in regard to my concerns which did lead to this thread losing that momentum.

Now though and with this new news being obtained through the "Freedom of Information" processes, and revealing the unbelievable excesses that we had had to pay for, I for one would actually like to question if we even need, in my opinion, this borderline department that demonstrates some pretty severe double standards.

Perhaps that department needs to undergo a complete shake up and full investigation into their productivity and more seriously their honesty.

How can anyone possibly spend such exorbitant amounts of money on fligts and accomodation.

I beleive the we as tax payers should be demanding a full investigation and audit of those who are involved to ascertain just what and where all that money really went, because it certainly didnt go where we are being told it went.

This is possibly revealing the highly questionable workings of a very corrupt organization and it demands a full and independant investigation.

At this point in time there seems little interest, and with the article regarding that massive waste of money, I should have thought there might have been the odd opinion expressed?

Hey OP, great thread. I thought I would also bring to your attention the new TSA approved scanners which are being introduced in Australian airports {with no opt-out clause} which has been proven to be detrimental to your health. [link to www.naturalnews.com] Yes people need to Wake up to Carbon Dioxide Tax. Wake up to internet censorship, Wake up to media censorship.
Wake up to smartmeters Wake up to Fluoride and the list goes on… but sadly the sheeple who need to wakeup don’t usually patronize conspiracy sites. Australian citizens must come to a consensus that our politicians are only poly- prostitutes bought and sold by TPTB, corporately owned and manipulated. Yes Tyranny has arrived in Australia. People need to look further afield to see the real agenda Australia plays globally. All people must united together if we are to stop this blur between illusion and reality, only then can true democracy move forward.

Hi Sounds,

first up, thank you for you complimentary words.

I could not agree with you more.

We have the ability via, email, etc, etc, but what we also have is an almost certifiable case of apathy.

Since I was a kid in school I became aware of just how indifferent Australians can be, and that hasnt changed much.

What has changed though is the almost mercenary and completley contemptuous manner that our electeds treat us, and they have an absolute complete confidence in their ability to continue to do this.

Its sad, but you get what you deserve and right now we are facing yet many more continuing instances of political abuse.

Well I do what I can, I always have, but i do fear that its a losing battle.

Gen X are just self focussed, sadly.

And gen Y, are completely selfish and self centered, caring about no one but themselves and what is happening in their life right this minute, they dont even care about tomorrow, so here we are!

I will make one big allowance there, my previous comments are totally "in general" comments that in some fortunate cases dont apply, but for the most part they are consistant with the facts, and now just watch them crawl out of the woodwork and scream foul.

Sounds,

I like the way you express your optimizm.

If there was only an effective way to first, disseminate information to that critical mass of people to get an action happening, and second, at the same time stave off the knockers for long enough for people to gain a little faith in their abilaties to bring about effective change.

Regrettably most people will tend to let others do their thinking for them and just drop into line with the least amount of effort required, and that means doing nothing.

One thing is absolutely certain, our MSM and politicians are all bred from the exact same stock, so we will never see support er even any positive commentary from them.

Notice that I avoided using the words "reporting", the concept of responsible journalism left this country many years ago, unfortunately, until people stop watching the thing they label news and look for their information elsewhere, they will continue to believe that they are informed.

It amazes me that I can talk to just about all my friends and they have NO idea whats happening in the world on a daily basis.

Here is another email, recently received calling for Tony Abbott to axe the RET.

I have removed any personal references from this email, ie my name!

Tell Tony Abbott To Axe The RET!

Dear
We both know the damage the tax on carbon dioxide will do to our great country.

But did you know the “Renewable Energy Target” (RET) is just as bad? And that Tony Abbott refuses to abolish it?

The RET mandates that 20% of power shall be from inefficient “green” sources by 2020. It is the main reason our power bills have been skyrocketing - and will rise even more.

There is no question about it - the RET needs to go.

Yesterday, Coalition MP’s, led by Queensland Senator and “Father of the Senate” Ron Boswell, and scientist Dr. Dennis Jensen MP, told Tony he must dump this green madness.

Tony Abbott’s response? “Renewable energy [is] an important issue and the Coalition had to commit to it.”

This is unacceptable. It is the same attitude that led to Malcolm Turnbull supporting the ETS. Tony Abbott needs to know it's just not good enough.

- can you take 5 minutes to tell Tony Abbott to stand up to the radical greens ?

The numbers say it all:

•Coal fired power station $79 per kw/h (kilowatt/hour)
•Gas fired power station $97 per kw/h – or 1.2 times the cost of coal power
•Wind power $1,502 per kw/h – or 19 (nineteen) times the cost of coal power
•Solar power $4,004 per kw/h – or 50 (fifty) times the cost of coal power
What do you think will happen to your power bill if this goes ahead?

Green schemes are collapsing around the world and have been a disaster in Germany, Spain, UK and the USA. The British Government has just announced it is scrapping all Green energy subsidies. Australia MUST follow suit.

Yes the Carbon Tax must be scrapped, but if Abbott is fair dinkum he needs to also scrap the 20% RET.

- can you email Tony Abbott on [email protected] & phone his office on (02) 6277 4022 and tell him to AXE THE RET?

Your email can be as short as one line or as long as you can make it - as long as Tony gets the message.

Tony Abbott can’t take Australians for granted. He MUST do the right thing, and this is his opportunity to prove where he stands.

Make no mistake: if you think our power bill is high now, it will be many, many times more if the RET isn't scrapped.

Please take 5 minutes to email and phone Tony Abbott’s office, forward this to your friends, share it on Facebook: and on Twitter . If you have time, you might also want to contact Senator Boswell on [email protected] and Dennis Jensen MP on [email protected] and thank him for their efforts on this vital issue.

If enough people contact Tony Abbott, he WILL do the right thing. It's up to us to make this happen.

You know it's bad when a 15 year posts a status to their Facebook about how embarrassed they were when they heard what Gillard said at the G20 summit. And what's more several of that 15 year old's friends posted comments such as "what's Gillard done now," and "don't worry she'll be gone soon". I was actually really impressed and relieved to see how well they have all comprehended the situation - at that age my friends and I had an agenda which did not include politics.

Well actually, my message is...

be nice as most Aussies are.

Whether we are being subjected to any or all those other undesirable things really is irrelevant, we may well be, but what does that matter, decent people get respect, their actions can be rewarding and can bring about change that is good.

My message certainly does not suggest to take anything that is dished out, what it is about is coming together into a focussed community that can be heard and can effect change, certainly it is the opposite to what to you accuse me of, sorry if you dissagree.

Perhaps there is a cultural difference here.

We hear and see ferocious demonstrations in many countries around the world when there is dissharmony, but Australians simply dont and never have behaved that way.

Well not since the Ballarat Goldfields days.

Perhaps one day we may and that would be sad, from my point of view, just as long as our leaders realize that they do need to listen to the people then we can avoid that type of dangerous behavour.

Id like to think that our leaders arent so stupid as to let this community have to resort to those measures in order to be heard, but having said all that,it is a general direction that we do seem to be progressing toward, very sad!

Well, if you really look at what you have just said, Id say that this is possibly the best news Ive heard of a very long time.

Why?

Because if 15 year old Aussies are becoming so politically aware, then this nation is definately going to head in the right direction.

It is clear that these young individuals can...think for themselves, and....arent simply being sheep, they are asking questions and noting things that they can identify as problematic.

As a 50 something year old, I havent witnessed those type of concerns from an age group such as this since the Vietnam demonstration days of the early 1970's.

So salute these young people and look forward to the day that they can replace the worn out and generally poor leaders that we currently have to live with these days.

Like you..I say..

Good on em!

I wasnt going to engage with you again as you seem to just be antagonistic, but just for the sake of it, and just this once.

I DO think that I do get it!

So, having said that, I now invite you to clearly and concisely explain just what it is that you actually consider that I dont get.

Just clear plain language that is logical will be sufficient, and, if you are correct I will be happy to admit it.

So, now its time for YOU to put up, or shut up!

Fair enough?

Im sure that there must be numerous readers that will be wanting to observe this exchange between us!

tony Abott will not repeal the carbon tax.

you're living in a fantasy land.

it is a NWO tax which every 1st world country must pay.

In fact, Tony better STFU otherwise he will piss off other countries like North Korea, China, USA, Canada and many more who have already had that tax in place for years...

the ONLY reason he says he will repeal it is to try to get more votes at the comming election you dolt.

Plain enough for ya?

Ok well thank you for answering.

I object to being called a "DOLT", that is simply just rude and unfounded, I have paid you the respect from childish name calling, I would consider you should refreain from that if you wish others to take you seriously, it will do your cause more benefit than not.

As to your comment re the NWO etc, who can genuinely say what is really at play there?

Now in terms of your assertions regarding our local national politics I do agree with you.

He will say whatever he needs to, to regain power at the next elections.

Now are we not right back at what this thread is about.

Its about , we the people, DEMANDING that our politicians delivering their promises, not like..."there will never be a carbon tax wile Im in charge"...or words to that effect.

So, where are we at odds?

Well, firstly the internet doesent "offend" me any more than an apple could.

Its your personal manner of expression ( name calling )that I found offensive, using and blaming the internet is completely irrelevant.

Please try to use "clear thinking" if you chose to debate with me.

And yes, I clearly remember Johnny making those "broken" promises too.

My point is clear.

Two wrongs dont make a right.

Just because Johnnie broke a promise and just because Jullia broke an promise is absolutely NO justification for "WE THE PEOPLE" to continue to accept that disgusting an abhorant behavour from people we put in a place of TRUST , ( where lies are not acceptable) to care for and manage our nation for the benefit of all its citizens.

Statesmanship, does NOT allow broken promises, it demands the highest of standards, and this is what I have been promoting throughout this thread.

Holding and making those politicians accountable for their promises.

As I said, we really arent dissagreeing, now are we?
