I have taken it and do love it but I refuse to get a prescription. If you cant make due with the natural amino acids or melatonin then you need something else, like lots of exercise. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1370297 I agree. I think I'm through with the anxiety and blood pressure spikes. Just dealing with sleeplessness. |

Sorry for being self absorbed. I'm fairly sure I'm through with it. So far, no cravings for alcohol. |

Getting old sucks. no excuses - GO WALKING i walk 1 1/2 hours a day and used to walk 6 hours a day THE BATTLE IS WITH YOUR EGO MIND. it is a tricky deceptive fucker and will try to get you back to drinking. it will try and lure you back even after 3 months or 6 months. you have to be prepared because your ego mind will be looking to lure you back into drinking again you need a strategy to deal with it if you get the urge to drink go walking if you can't sleep go walking don't make excuses people drink booze because they have mental issues. they're little children in big bodies and feel sorry for themselves. booze is an escape from their pain. it's for the weak. i'd advise getting the book The Presence Process by Michael Brown. |

The good news is that I have been preparing for my reawakening. I have a brand new upscale tread mill. Think I might wake others up though at this hour. Not making excuses, as I agree with you, but I didn't want to experience a blood pressure spike. I feel that I'm nearly out of the woods. Will definitely be following your advice. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 16542544 United States 06/05/2012 03:26 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well, changes in my consciousness really. One day just had the intuition that it was time to give up alcohol and start living healthier. I also gave up drinking soda and switched strictly to water and some flavored water drinks. Don't get me wrong, I still smoke cannabis lightly (and in moderation) and I have 2-3 cigarettes a day, but I felt like it was important to keep alcohol and especially soda out of my system. I feel more energetic than I ever have in the past, the water has really helped too. I had been drinking for the past 12 years or so, but much less volumes in any single sitting than I had in the earlier period of that stretch. More of like an everyday 1-2 beers type of drinking and sometimes a full bottle of wine while watching a hockey game. I could put down 8-10 beers maybe once a month while getting together with friends but those types of nights became more and more sporadic and infrequent. Never had any type of alcohol withdrawal when I was drinking over those 12 years. I just always enjoyed the taste of various beers and also white wines. Even if I wasn't drinking to get moderately drunk, I had always appreciated the taste of having a couple drinks. I don't think I miss it that much. Seems kind of unnecessary in my life now. I certainly don't miss the added expense on my budget. : ) |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 16643236 United States 06/05/2012 03:28 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | For the record, I drank to get out of physical pain. Then I compounded my problems by letting my blood pressure get out of control. I've become so tired of feeling like crap everyday. I'm adamant about making this work. I don't have a choice. I have people that depend on me and that is where my responsibility lies. No more excuses. |
