Post script to above What Dreams May Come recommendation. Although the book was absolutely great, the movie with Robin Williams is in my list of the Worst Five Movies Ever Made. It was TERRIBLE!

Hearing a recently returned astronaut comment on how when you are in space looking down on earth you cannot see borders. This comment hit home with me. Earth is so beautiful from space. You cannot see all the wrongs or bad things only beauty. :)

I think that a movie I watched as a kid, shown at school on what to do if a nuclear bomb strikes introduced me to how scary the world was.

Many years later an audio by Thich Nhat Hanh reminded me how beautiful the world can be.

Same here. Seeing those building fall onto their own footprint and the 'pulling' of wtc building 7 on LIVE t.v....I haven't been the same since.
