It's gotten deeper from there. And anything with Tool, Perfect Circle for my music choice The initial catalyst to it all was my brother dying on my birthday in 97. It is the single worst/best thing that ever happened to me, because it made me question EVERYTHING. Last Edited by Five Forty Four A.M. on 06/28/2012 02:56 AM |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 9520353 United States 06/28/2012 03:00 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ken Wilber's huge philosophical tome Sex, Ecology, and Spirituality changed my view about Spirituality. Wilber argued that spirituality (as opposed to religion) was something humanity has yet to develop and is a higher stage of development than rationality and science. After reading that hideously huge book and thinking about it for a few years I came to the exact opposite conclusion: Spirituality is the mother of all scams. |

Are you saying that spirituality as a belief system is a scam? I'm saying that spirituality itself is a very bad misinterpretation of something entirely different that has its origin in sociobiology and physics. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17427249 I want to believe... X-files opened my mind as a kid too. I love X Files, but can't say it opened my mind "as a kid". I was 22 when my husband convinced me to start watching it with him. I had always flipped past the show on TV. I never knew what I was missing. September 11th initially opened my mind. X Files has definitely contributed to it though. "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." - Matthew 22: 37-39 "What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?" - Galatians 5: 22-23 |
