An epic book Film: Suspect Zero. A film that lead me to learn about remote viewing, and after learning the skill, once I was able to remote view accurately it exploded my paradigms of what was possible! |

Thanks for the Hey SMC - thanks for all good resource links. Any idea where I might be able to find pdf of Osho's Book of Understanding? Or even audio? I love listening to him. If you get a chance check out his Zen Talks by Audio Renaissance. OP - you are amazing with the links. So I just wanted to ask about bk of Understanding, again. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 10823255 United States 08/11/2012 10:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind, by Julian Jaynes. This goes into how the bicameral mind (two sides) eventually evolved into allowing us to experience consciousness in the way that we are able to mull things over in our mind instead of simply getting impulses. The Emperor's New Mind: Concerning Computers, Minds and The Laws of Physics, by Roger Penrose. This book was mostly about artificial intelligence but also delved into quantum physics such as the two-slit experiment and other quantum oddities. One thing I remember Penrose writing was that a particle was not only identical to the same type of particle everywhere in the universe, but it WAS the same particle. In other words, a photon in one light ray not only had to be identical to a photon in another light ray but it had to be the same particle. This lead me to believe that the universe was an elaborate computer program with the same particle being present in multiple places at once. |

Read it first at fifteen and keep going back to it. Quoting: Ilana There was also a Buddhist writer I read one time (a Tibeten Rinpoche) who explained how anger was an addiction the same way drugs or alcohol are. Now that you mention it I can see this to be true, at least in my own experience. The reason I say that is because over 25 years ago I noticed myself saying the same word whenever I got angry (that word was "bitch"). Later on the word changed to "damn" but I still noticed that it was the same word. The word I use to express anger has changed over the years but I have noticed that I use one word for years and years. This tells me that anger has become an addiction. Thank you for pointing that out and allowing me to discover that part of myself. |
