Swords don't require ammunition, but you better practice a lot and build up muscles and stamina. Remember, too, even an undead zombie can't do much to you without arms and legs... Answers are rarely simple or easy. |

You can outrun a Zombie herd easily on a horse and a horse only requires rest, grass and water which can be easily access in certain areas |

You can outrun a Zombie herd easily on a horse and a horse only requires rest, grass and water which can be easily access in certain areas Quoting: Ready2bugout Horses aren't necessarily a bad idea, but remember they can get spooked and throw you. I'm not sure how they would react to the smell of a zombie from whatever cause; even if it is from a disease (or chemical), animals have a keen sense of smell and may not react well to the scent. Their top speed leaves a little to be desired, and they tire out. It wouldn't be too difficult to be pulled off the horse if you came across a mob. Keeping these shortcomings in mind, a horse would otherwise be a great idea. Fuel would eventually run out for vehicles, even though that might not be for a long time. There would be no more parts manufactured, so they could only be repaired so many times. Then there's the matter of tools to repair it, and so on. Also, a vehicle makes a lot more noise than a horse. Any option has its pros and cons, so it's more a matter of personal choice, I'd say. Answers are rarely simple or easy. |

Your body needs fats of the good kind and I consume a lot of it too. Salmon, Fish oil, olive oil, avocados, nuts The fats you mention are fine for young people. I should have qualified my statement. Old folks with heart disease need very low fat, and even they can consume the olive oil, nuts, and avocados in very small amounts. The average Westerner consumes about 65 pounds of fat/year-- or two tons by age 60. It is that extreme fat consumption that is responsible for most coronary artery disease, IMO. An excellent book entitled "Preventing and Reversing Heart Disease" by C. B. Esselstyn MD shows what can be accomplished with very-low fat diet.
