Maybe when I was a teenager. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10578281 But right now I feel that my life has just started and I am about to venture in to unknown territory. It's a bit scary but a lot exciting. Really you probably have something that you want to do but you are repressing it because you don't think that it is possible. If you feel like this then you have nothing to lose so take a shot at your dreams. Enjoy the odd whiskey. 4. Go for long walks in the countryside and look at it all. 5. Read lots of books. = happy. oohh I forgot. Visit GLP less. Get a pet. My favourite time is my daily five mile walk in the country with my dog. I listen to audio books, an average novel takes about 8 to 12 dog walks. Currently going through Asimov's Foundation series (third book 'Foundation' at the moment). I am finding the fall of the Galactic empire somewhat topical. The Swordsman |

I posted several MATRIX threads. I have had a life time of head to head with the system and its not lettin up on me. Past 16 years have been a heavy burden for me since the matrix has turned on me for being disobediant to its demand. I just don't care anymore and my heart is about to give it up because the pressure from the system is relenlist and I'm tired, old and near death. I have shown my sister how its been on me and she is seeing it. I tell her whats about to happen when I persue simple things that should be no problem acheiving. I a being held back, refused, turned down and pushed back by the matrix system. It knows I know and it stalks my life. I told my sister tonight I am going over and smash the fucking matrix circuit control systems neural connections and maybe I can free some of you here. We'll see. They are aware I am about to come down there and kick some shit up stairs. |

I can relate to this. I am physically, emotionally, and spiritually drained. I find that I become very nervous and irritable if I am around people for any length of time. It seems to me that people never shut the fuck up... Always spewing the same shit over and over into their cell phones. They give no thought to anything but their self induced drama. I live only to be loving care givers for my 2 dogs. I know that they need me, and love me. |

Personally I have pretty much always felt this way. In the last few years I have found an interesting way to make the redundancy feel less rote. Basically what I do is build and/or fix anything that you would otherwise normally toss out or pay someone to do the task for you... Or mindlessly buy. Everyone around me seems mostly helpless. The people I meet who are not are very old and their generation is fading away. Self sufficiency is satisfying at some level. Beer does help though. |

Not sure how old you are but it is entirely normal. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9231012 From birth we are programmed to be nothing more than a rabid consumers. Once you get tired of being a consumer, consuming anything from money spent on entertainment, beer, bling, new clothes, even just going out and having fun is still being a consumer, fun costs money. Welcome to your age and reality of becoming non-materialistic! Yes everything now seems boring even people that are stuck in materialism still seem agonizing to be around and tolerate. This is the time of your life that you need to look inward and find and pursue anything you still have heart for. Recreate yourself. Gather other non-materialistic people around you. Maybe begin yoga meditation for 30 minutes each morning. Sit in the park for no apparent reason. Learn to enjoy doing absolutely nothing. ^Exactly^ I am now a non-materialistic person and the transition from rabid consumer is like limbo. Rebirth is wonderful! What joy I used to get from shopping all day could never equal the enjoyment of walking a beach in the morning hours or having tea on the porch on a pretty day. And... I used to be the kind of person to just pop into Saks 5th on a whim and buy me and my first husband 10 grand for 2 wrist watches. Never looked at price tags and had every credit card there was. Italian high heeled boots, ect. That person is so alien to me now and makes me sick of what good could come from that kind of money properly used for charity now. |

We all feel that way. But most people aren't honest with their own feeling's. Thinking once their honest with themselves and how they feel they will no longer be able to feel happy or at the very least guilt free about their lifestyles. Nah I'm much past that point now, Ive been so honest with my self at first it was killing me but now I'm much stronger. |

There are more like you out there...many more than you think. It's not because your getting enlightment and shedding of the old. This has got to the state were a lot of people have become stale and tired in this reality...they don't know anything better. The energy has penetrated deep with in our being..it's become stale...set in concrete. Some turn to drugs and booze to escape it...some take it further by suicide. It's like it's become a burden on oneself having to go through the same boxed perception. There is not much i can offer over a computer to lighten that load...but the burden is going to lift over this planet. That's not wishful thinking...I know so. |

Hi OP, Know the feeling well. One can overcome though. It just takes conscious thought and a change in perception. The Egyptian deity Ra once said: '...To put this into perspective we must gaze then at the stunning mystery of the One Infinite Creator. The archetypical mind does not resolve any paradox or bring all into unity. This is not the property of any resource which is of the third density. Therefore, may we ask the student to look up from inward working and behold the glory, the might, the majesty, the mystery, and the peace of oneness. Let no consideration of bird or beast, darkness or light, shape or shadow keep any which seeks from the central consideration of unity.' Reflection on unity helps with the change in perception. All is not meaningless. Rather all is full of meaning, as this place is a tool to come to greater knowledge of the self and thus the All. Best of luck on the journey. |

MAY YOUR POWER REVEAL ITSELF WITHIN ME, ON EARTH AND IN THE HEAVEN. GIVE ME TODAY MY DAILY BREAD, AND THUS, LET ME RECOGNIZE MY TRANSGRESSIONS AND ERRORS, AND I SHALL RECOGNIZE THE TRUTH. I feel a lot of what you say... Someone else said his friends call him Mr Vulcan... That really resonates with the way I (don't) feel. Call it empty. There is no joy; but with me there is also no sadness, no real anger, no depression, no longing. Almost absolutely nothing. I credit psychadelics to that. I fully believe they have shown me the way to inner peace. I used to feel all of these things very strongly, and over time I began to lose them. It was a gradual change; things that would once tug the heart no longer moved me. I began getting tired of my friends, my family, losing interest in the activities that used to bring me joy. After a few ego-shedding, very introspective trips I came to the realization that emotions are very powerful weights that can drag a person down if you pay too much attention to them. Feeling these emotions are part of the human experience, but if we are preparing ourselves to join the spiritual realm, they are essentially useless. A person can have compassion without feeling the emotions tied to it. A person can show love without actually feeling the emotions tied to it; just as easily as a person can show hate without emotion. These things didn't come to me easily, and it was even harder to accept them; but you will find what you seek, if your search is honest. My trips have allowed me to compartmentalize my feelings, examine them in great detail, and realize they were only dragging me down. Now that I no longer live by their influence, I am at peace with myself. My inner struggle has been settled. I wouldn't say that I am anywhere near enlightened, but I do want to believe I am on the path. For this I strive, each and every day. I meditate every day; maybe not in the traditional sense, but I do what I consider to be meditation for at least an hour, sometimes two, every day. I hope you shall find peace and understanding on your journey, fellow traveler. |
