Russia and China are bolstering their forces in Eurasia 3. The Caspian Basin is the world's oil and gas grand prize. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1159154 Realistically the USA could cream Afghanistan in two weeks but there would be a shitload of collateral damage. Fuck it, lets just Nuke'em. We already did. Or at least plenty of bunker busters. Remember those little caves that people could live in up in the Afghanistan mountains, that they lived in probably ever since the climate dried out there? Well we decided that since we could not control them, we would blow them up. They are no more. What used to be habitable, is now uninhabitable. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9927807 Lithium, very useful for military and industrial. Exactly, it is not a secret. The mountains of Afghanistan is full of lithium as in Batteries and pharmaceuticals for psychiatric patients. China is threatening, poking their noses into the US's spoils in Afghanistan, as a bargaining chip over the Iran/Syria issue. We will see who backs down first and who gets the newly found deposits of vast mineral riches including gold, copper, iron as well as lithium. |

Minerals and resources yes, but remember the first thing Hitler did when he came into power? He took the holy lance that supposedly stabbed Jesus with from the museam . Every group who has had their hands on this lance has ruled with power. We had our hands on it after ww2 but we have lost it. (Stolen)We went to find it again for ten years. Now if China goes and finds it. We all are going to be going along for a crazy ride. |
