As a result of site investigation, a burn mark was confirmed near the motor terminal housing, and we reported it to Tomioka fire department (Naraha branch station) at 9:27 PM. Later we accepted the judgment that it was not a fire. As for Unit 4 spent fuel pool alternative cooling system, the secondary system circulating pump (B) was started up at 8:27 PM on the same day, there was no significant change in the pool water temperature. There was no problem with the cooling condition. At 10:30 AM on June 5, the secondary system circulating pump (B) at Unit 4 spent fuel pool alternative cooling system was temporarily suspended in order to confirm the condition. There is no problem with the pool water temperature control as the temperature increase rate is estimated to be approx. 0.3℃/h. The condition of the secondary system circulating pump (A) and (B) at Unit 1 spent fuel pool alternative cooling system which have a similar structure will be confirmed. Anonymous Coward User ID: 1294151 United States 06/06/2012 11:32 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | TEPCO's only concern is salvaging the MOX fuel rods that they paid millions for. They are merely trying to save some of their investment at some point to move them to other reactors. They don't care about the environment or the radiation pollution, this is why their concern is all about No.4. They have written off the other 3 and will deal with them in 4-5 years when they cool a bit. This catastrophe will pollute the planet for 40 years until they can invent a solution for clean up. After that, it legacy will be felt for another 10,000 years. |

Everyday I think of calling lawyers and see if any of them want to start testing the environment and once we find radiation directly from fukushima, we sue the fuck out of TEPCO. Go class action, and bend them over. Are there any attorneys out there with the balls, and the need for more money, that wants to be groundbreaking? While this is unlikely, there are no symptoms associated with exposure to low levels of radioactivity. Fortunately, a simple analysis of a person's urine will provide the best assurance that the body has not been impacted from radiological contamination. GEL Laboratories, LLC is accredited by the United States Department of Energy for the accurate and proper identification of radioactivity in the human body. GEL is the only commercial analytical laboratory in the United States both accredited by DOE and regulated through the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) to perform laboratory testing on humans in the U.S. The testing of an individual exposed to radioactivity, either by inhalation or ingestion, is done by collecting urine excreted over a 24-hour period. GEL will provide a test kit for each individual to assist in the urine collection process. Once collected and shipped overnight to our laboratory, the urine will be analyzed for the emission of gamma-rays indicative of nuclear power related radioactivity. If radiation is detected, a qualified physician and/or radiation specialist should be consulted to determine further treatment. Food and non-Food Exposure The same protection can be provided for any material that is exported from or used in Japan for the food industry. They could see the metal part through the insulation part. For the risk of short circuit, they stopped (B) to fix as well. They estimate 3 days to fix. Tweet at 2:46 AM – 6 Jun 12 The coolant system of reactor 4 is stopped at this moment. The temperature of water is 35ºC. They assume it increases by 0.3ºC hourly. It will be about 57ºC in 3 days. The safety regulation is 65ºC. NISA explains, it’s simple work, it won’t take longer than 3 days. Tweet at 2:51 AM – 6 Jun 12 NISA explained the reason of these troubles is because the coolant system is improvised preparation. They plan to replace them with better preparation. For the question that reactor 1 ~3 have the same risk. they did not deny the possibility. This is something to concern. I will keep my eyes on it. [link to enenews.com] |

There were some video recording of them at night from one of teh reactors (#2?) within a few months after the disaster last year suggesting a re-criticality, if that is a white beam being emitted from the reactor, not a work light, I have no idea what but not good. As for the idea of giving up and pretending it will go away, that is stupid. Maybe we need a darwin moment every so often to thin out the stupid people? Covering that mess back up with seawater caused the cherenkov. Tepco and the associated agencies and gov'ts said nil about this for three months.
