That's why they built it below sea level right next to the ocean. For that emergency scenario. But they'll never admit it, of course. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17528330 IF it was a radiation effect, there would be more than one species of fish washed up thats not how the radiation works, it builds up in certain species more so than others, working its way in concentration up through food chain. if a massive radiatin leak is what you believe is the result, than yeah lots at same time id imagine, but thatd be the least of the symptoms of such an occurence? not so sure on last part |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1343684 United States 06/07/2012 03:06 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1343684 Now you are reading my brain. It is well known the waves from Japan land just north of Santa Cruz, and cause the huge waves at Mavericks, which is in half moon bay. If we call this area the neutral point, then we plot how far south Redondo beach is from half moon bay, then add this number to the north side of the neutral point (opposite and equal), we land somewhere around Mendicino, the southern tip of the Juan de Fuca. I have felt in my gut for years, and have had many posts that this is where the big one will be. That does make sense :C I live in the greater Seattle area and since April we have seen an increase of micro earthquakes [link to www.king5.com] and we are long overdue for a big one. And there has been recent news about all the various active volcanoes in the area. [link to www.godlikeproductions.com] There was also the film crew last year that was checking cables around the Juan de Fuca, and was also showing the geography down there. One thing they saw was volcanic activity, recent activity, that has not happened for a thousand years. I am curious if in the past if this was recorded. If say it happened with the afflicted area is northward to where the fish end up then that means I am gonna have to take some precautions. D: Not sure what you mean by recorded. Here is the thread on the exploration, with link to the actual footage. You can actually see the fault in the Juan de Fuca, plus the volcanic activity. I meant that whether or not past accounts of fish dying were recorded (location) and if there was a correlated earthquake. That would help maybe determine a pattern if there is one. |

Does the area remain fairly earthquake free? Are small earthquakes (smaller than 2) indicative of a possible larger earthquake? [link to quakes.globalincidentmap.com] California has been getting a lot of activity lately as has Washington State (though it seems that we do not report to the global incident map) Recent earthquakes in Washington [link to www.pnsn.org] Interesting note: Some of the recent 2.0 and above earthquakes are happening near Princeton, BC, Canada and one in the San Juan Islands as well as a couple in northern part of eastern washington... Is it possible that multiple large earthquakes might happen in on the west coast? And I might have to try and have my parents use up their Landry's giftcard (well for Claim Jumpers because Morton's is way too expensive) this Friday as opposed to Saturday. Of course fitting for a last meal? XD;; |
