Are there any Federal reserve notes printed after 2009 in circulation in the us?
I work in high volume retail and deal with cash all day long and for the past year I haven't seen a single bill of any denomination in circulation dated after 2009. Even the most crispiest of bills are all 2009 at best. I'm serious wtf?

Does anyone here on GLP have any bills dated after 2009?

Are they really shipping everything they print over seas?

Are the presses still runnning?

whats going on?

The date on the bill is the "series" date, not the date the bill is printed.

The "series" date refers to the date the bill was designed.

Everything we print is just to cover the interest that we owe to foreigners. Ever owe too much an a credit card and no matter how you try to pay it off, the numbers keep on getting higher? Ya, we're doomed.

No the poster is correct. The Geitner series with whats her name in the other signature. The only time the series changes is when one of the signatures changes. This occurs mostly around the time of an election. We hope the worthless "Timmay" goes away.

OP, gain some intelligence.

re-read what was said. A bill need not be redesigned but rather a change in office of the treasurer can result in a new series which affects ALL notes.

Go to the Bureau of Engraving web site. They tell you how many bills were printed in the previous month. They will all be "Timmay's" until Obmmer is thrown out and a new SecTreas is installed by Goldman Sachs.

OP if you want a really hard assignment. Go to the bank and buy 100 $5 bills and look for the old variety of Lincoln's. You ain't gonna find many in that 100 count.

Bet you don't even know what a star note is...

Awesome! Thanks Now I can sleep at night lol

"During Fiscal Year (FY) 2011, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing produced approximately 23.5 million notes a day with a face value of approximately $453 million."

It looks like no 10's or 50's though, at least not in 2010

The secretary of the treasury changed in February of 2013 to Jack Lew. So money printed since then should be a new series.

They're still finalizing the engraving templates - they didn't like Lew's signature so he had to practice his cursive writing and come up with a new one...LOL - true story
