As a resident of NC I have to agree. NC is a shithole. There are no jobs, housing is way too expensive, taxes are through the roof, and crime is up there too. The police are too busy picking on potheads and license plates too ever actually investigate anything. I know 4 felons who have guns and the pig-thugs don't care. Yet let them catch you with a tiny roach and watch your life go into suck mode for a full year.

There are too many mexicans and blacks. The terrain is too flat and there are no open spaces where you can go anymore. Everything is POSTED or gated. You risk going to jail if you walk down to the river pretty much everywhere in the state. The only thing you see in the woods if you hunt is more hunters. Unless you're rich. That is different. Otherwise the state is pretty much closed to anyone who needs to feel free once in a while.

NC is the shittiest shithole ever and I did leave. I looked around and pondered how the hell anyone could live there..and I realized they know nothing else. They do not know there is vibrant lifestyle elsewhere, so they trod along in their boring little towns thinking that this is what life is about. Diversity, energy, vibrancy, pleasant lifestyle and an uplifting existence are outside of this depressing place.

I live in NC. We have to have a permit for everything. The town I live in just passed a rule saying everybody could own up to 3 live chickens if they purchase a permit for $50.00 that must be renewed every year for $50.00 or until they raise the price. We cannot have roosters, they are too noisy. Anybody here spend more than $50.00 per year on eggs?
