Did Rand Paul discuss endorsement with Ron Paul? + No "Secret Deal" with Romney

Both Ron and Rand know the Liberty movement is far more important than either of their own career aspirations. They wish to oust the NeoCons from the GOP and return it to it's conservative, non-interventional libertarian roots.

Didn't watch the video and I've been out of the loop a few days, so Rand Paul endorsing Mitt Romney is news to me. What a load of crap. Phen was right. Ron Paul and Rand Paul are no different than anyone else. Since there's no difference between Mitt Romney and Obama, Rand may as well have come out and pledged his full support for Obama. Long live fascism.

Maybe the sheeple have it right. We're the idiots that wasted our time and money on Ron Paul's campaign. We're the idiots who wasted our time e-mailing, calling and writing our "representatives." We're the idiots who thought we'd make a difference. You know, I really wanted to believe that ideas and expressing opinions could make a difference. In the back of my head I always knew that the only way to make a real difference is by force. If you want your country back, asking for it will do nothing. You have to take the country back just as it was taken from you.

I don't know what to make of all this. Were threats made to the Paul family? Has Rand betrayed his father? Are they playing games with the media to confuse TPTB? Are they making deals with Romney to get some of their agendas passed through? I wish someone from the campaign would explain to us what the hell is going on. I'm hoping their actions are related to question number 3.

While everything you said is a real possibility, I'm not ready to make any assumptions just yet. This does make me wonder if people will still be willing to fight for delegate positions after all of this.

Could be, but I'm not going to accuse someone of something until all the facts are in. I wouldn't like to have that done to me so I won't do it to others. If he turns out to be another turncoat then I'll be the first to agree he needs to be taken down if and when the revolution starts.

Maybe I should spare Ron, since he hasn't, atleast to my knowledge, endorsed Mitt Romney. Just a lot of frustration because the efforts for supporting the Ron Paul campaign were in vain. But Rand is a turncoat in my book.

Waste of time. Most on here wouldnt understand Machiavelli if they read it. Its about instant gratification with most of these people, not a long term strategic win.

As I said earlier, I really wish someone from the campaign would come out and tell us what's going on, because both Ron and Rand have to know that the majority of Ron's supporters will NEVER vote for Romney. It doesn't matter if either one of them endorse Romney. Ron's supporters will not compromise.

No one from the campaign is going to explain it to you. The campaign for the republican nomination is over. I dont know how many times, in how many ways I have to say this. Rand Paul is simply playing the game. He is endorsing Romney, because its the thing to do for the party. Not because he is actually endorsing him. Now he will get out campaign and become a national name. With the hardcore Paul supporters, who lets face it will support Rand if Ron says so, has a legitimate change to be the next president. Because face it people. The most boring man in the world is not going to beat Barack Obama in a popularity contest.

Yes... based on the outcry against Rand, it looks like that. Maybe they were testing the waters hoping people will calm down and accept Romney by the time the convention comes.

Sorry, but I have read too many negative comments about Rand right now for that to be true. Ron will never tell his supporters to back Romney.

I've posted nearly the same post on each "OMG, Rand is backing Romney" thread, and you are the first to comment on it.

I have to disagree. The Daily Paul is full of hardcore Paul supporters, and the majority of them absolutely refuse to endorse Romney under any circumstances, and have said so repeatedly for months. If Ron and Rand actually believe they will support Romney because Paul says so, then they have greatly underestimated them. I just don't see it happening.

It wouldn't make any difference if Rand actually was Romney's choice for VP. This has also been discussed at length on the Daily Paul and the majority of people over there have said they wouldn't vote for Romney even if Rand were his VP. Many of Ron's supporters didn't care for Rand even before this happened.

Something else I forgot to mention is that there are a lot of people on the Daily Paul who are RP delegates and they were treated like shit by the Romney campaign and witnessed first hand their dirty, lying, cheating underhanded tactics. Do you honestly believe these people are going to forget all that and give their support to Romney, even if Rand is his running mate?

I will only support Romney if Paul endorses him. But if Paul endorses someone else then I will vote for that person. If Paul endorses nobody then I think I will go with Obama.
