How about this, It's a meteor that has some sort of chemical reaction or something in the upper atmosphere that causes it to break up and spiral?
Quoting: Korangar which is a very viable theory, if it was a meteor. It's like this. Every time theirs a rocket launch at night in that part of the world people see a spiral.
