Ok in a couple of months Assad will be dead and gone and then there will be another country in the middle east that has to establish a new type of government. The people in most of the middle east aren't ready for a democracy because they don't see the advantages and frankly I don't see any other type of government succeeding. The next decades will be marked by civil wars and the falling apart of countries, if we even get to see a couple of more decades....
Quoting: FalloutGuy 11438554 Syria is a VITAL nation for Russian military. Russia can not and will not loose it's alliance with Syria. To start, Russia has a massive naval base their. Among many airbases and other installations. Do not be fooled, this is not Libya or Egypt. The Russians will invade and occupy Syria if they must in order to maintain military strength. ESPECIALLY facing an Iran war coming up, the last thing Russia wants is the loss of military force in that region. And if Russia is forced to occupy Syria, Israel is not that far away and would make a GREAT warm water naval base for Russia.
