i remember as a kid, the dude from sanford & son - whatshisface - lamont had disappeared from hollywood and was found yrs later working as a computer guy. i read his reason was that he didnt want any part of hollywood - that the money wasnt worth it.

decades later, we now understand what he meant.

With me, I am far happier somewhat "poor", as I have less crap to look after.

ie. motorhome, boat, houses, business, cars, cottage, trucks...etc etc when I had all the toys I spend all fucking day looking after them....

now...after I quit my job, sold everything, etc eyc I am far far happier.

Now I live in a very small but payed for house, I have four old vehicles..a truck and three vans which need tinkering everyday..lol...and my happy scale is a round a nine.

The other day my wife wanted to by one of those new little FIAT cars...I told her if she did she would be on her own with payments etc because I was done supporting that type of lifestyle.

But she can get one if she wants...it will be her thing not mine..lol...

So sad. I hate hearing that.

That really sucks. It's bad enough being in that situation, but worse when you're semi famous enough for thousands of people to hear about it.

Child stars usually do not fare well in the world after THE role goes away. Very few continue in a positive way.

My second cousin was a child star. He's not doing great now. I would never want to be famous as a child. For our great grandmother's death, his handlers sent an autographed picture. This is when he was still a kid and still on tv.

What about Ron Howard , her TV big brother ? Where is he ?

I do believe I heard that Mr Cunningham (Tom Bosley) died a few months ago...

With a last name like "Moran", did you really expect a different outcome?

Sadly, the pot of money goes quickly if not refreshed on a consistent basis.

The problem is they are selling themselves out to material land and they don't even know it. Then when all the fame runs out, they try and identify themselves with money and fame as opposed to real humans like everyone else.

Bottom line is that these people were handed a silver spoon and bowl of gold, but choked on the spoon and then barfed in the bowl crying foul as if someone put a gun to their head to make them suck that spoon to the point of gagging on it.
