John, also known as John of Patmos, did not originally write Revelation. Apollonius retired to the island of Patmos around 81 to 96 a.d. where he wrote Revelation. He went there because Emperor Domitian was after him.

Revelation predates most if not all the canonized books of the New Testament.

John came much later. The book of John is written and modified by no less than 6 people.

Let me give you the Walmart Scenario. This doesn't happen at every Walmart but has happened in the past.

Imagine your shift changing from days, to mids to even night stocking all the time so your sleep cycle is messed up. You have no power to keep the same shift.

Then you're forced to clock-out for your lunch and even taking a break.

Breaks will be fewer and your employers will even complain if you need to go to the bathroom.

All this for $7.00 an hour. No raises, and promotions with more responsibility but no raise.

You get few vacation days and if you're sick, that counts towards vacation.

Of course, you'll be doing the work of 3 people and still get a lot of overtime. Overtime will be $9.00 an hour. No longer $7.00+$3.50.

Emperor of the Rome usually spent most of his day in coliseum watching bloody massacres and it is not surprising that the other part of the day was spent by organizing the ones. It wasn't about peace and unity or other modern terms, Rome was one big empire and hardly at any huge war. It was about another way of life as Rome was collapsing from inside.
It did not end there. If you will look for Sarmatia or Scythia in Secret Vatican library, most likely you'll become persona nongrata as it is the secret even today (society that does not need a government or forming and dissolving it when needed and not needed?).
