Breaking: LighNting Over Southern Ontario

yes i have been seeing this , at least one flash a second no thunder

I know a thunderstorm when I see one, and this wasn't a thunderstorm.
Ive seen at least one other vid like this. Germany, I think.

Not unusual to see lighting off in the distance without hearing it. Its the stalled low pressure system off the coast making our cloudy rainy weather. Don't know about you but ... this is rrrreally nice weather to me. I don't like hot & dry.

I think you may mean lightning...not lighting.

Im close tu Vallyfield , quebec and theyre is lots of white flash in the sky at night you can see the stars no clouds no joke something big is going on signed the real nobody

i am across the river from sarnia ont. havent seen anything other than alot of fireworks, but you would prob here the bangs. pos heat lightning. it is quite humid.

Not to be rude but don't you people check the weather radar on a weather site? It's not uncommon to see flashes up to 100 miles away. And there is no such thing as heat lightning...it's lightning so far away you can't hear it.

I saw some flashes in the sky to the south of me on Long Island, NY. There is no storms at all around this area. It caught my eye and looked unnatural. This was around 10pm. The weather and skies this week have been amazing. Rainbows, unbelievable sunsets with diverse cloud decks.

I second all of that. From long island too. But also heard fire works. Possible you only saw them? And didn't hear them?

Something could well be going down. Ever since the venus transit this week something feels like it has shifted into a whole new mode.

Possibly but the flashes seemed too high up. I'm over in Port Jefferson and they were directly south of me.
