The grand scheme of things has kind of a built in safety feature for stoopidity. So issues like "power in the wrong hands" aren't necessarily something one should worry about.
You'll (any person) will never be endowed/blessed/authorized any kind of power that they haven't already demonstrated to be responsible for.
