Basically shops do not ask prices which are relative to the value of the product. Product prices are based on what the consumer is capable of paying.

Thats true , I nip into Aldi which is in a proper shit hole area , YMCA right opposite and its dirt cheap....get LOADS for your money in there.......they have the "SUPER SIX" fruit and veg most weeks for either 39p or 49p......great for me as I live alone with my son.....spend about 30 quid a week nowdays on food....steer clear of Tesco/Sainsburys etc cos they spend too much on advertising......LOVE the Aldi thick and creamy yoghurts they are to die for !!!!

when you look at some of there stuff you end up paying more for things, i get cat and dog food in there but thats it

i do also find a lot of bargains at aldi and the super six are good value, one time the pineapple was 69p, another time, six tomatoes were 39p.

agreed you have to compare prices, that's why i look for the special bargains.

another thing i like they have this new pizza, thin base, four cheese topping, 2 for under two pounds, they don't skimp on the topping and it tastes great.
