FINAL UPDATE! High Park WildFire Destroys 87,200+ Acres In Colorado! 100 % Containment!

"The following evacuation orders were sent out earlier Sunday:

Just after 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon Larimer County sent out 24 new evacuation notifications to homes along Crystal Mountain Road and Upper Buckhorn Road.

Larimer County sent out 326 additional evacuation orders for the area north of county road 38E from Horsetooth Reservior to Redstone Canyon to Lory State Park.

Larimer County also sent out 69 evacuation notifications for Buckhorn Road, from CR27 to Pennock Pass, and residents approximately one mile to the south. Buckhorn evacuees should exit the area by going east on Buckhorn Road.

Evacuation orders were also issued for the Bonner Peaks Subdivision Residents, who will need to exit the area using Owl Canyon Road.

Evacuations were also ordered for County Road 29C and McMurray Ranch Road residents.

More than 2,000 emergency notifications were sent out Saturday and Sunday.

The shelter set up at Cache La Poudre Middle School closed Sunday night due to smoke. The shelter has moved to the Ranch, along I25/Cross Boulevard, between Loveland and Fort Collins.

Large animals and livestock can be taken to the Ranch at I24 and Crossroads. Small domestic animals can be taken to the Larimer County Humane Society.

One person is confirmed missing from a home destroyed by High Park Fire.

In addition, more people are believed to be missing, Gov. John Hickenlooper said during a Sunday press conference."

More than likely intentionally set, and not by an arsonist, IMO. These fires are happening every year now and are occurring from an unknown origin. Oh wait, my bad, it was a lightning strike...couldn't be any other agenda afoot.

Wow, 20,000 acres with 0% containment? Not good hopefully the firefighters will get a hand on it soon, but it sure looks difficult.

These however are reaching historic proportions. And have 0% containment. ZERO! I agree... very suspicious how these start and spread so easily and seem to be increasing all the time in frequency and strength.

We had a dry winter here in California. So we might be on the same page as the people in Colorado. Dry brush and gusty winds are a recipe for disaster.

Agenda 21 comes to mind. One tenet of this heap of shit policy, dictates that nobody will live rurally any longer--only in designated areas like pack-em'and-stack-em planned cities where they are building all these "apartment" buildings that all have that prison look. UPDATE!

The fires have now SPREAD and nearly DOUBLED in size within 24 hours. Nearly 40,000 Acres are now ablaze. Hundreds of homes at risk and ZERO containment with no rain in sight.

Seriously... why is this thread NOT pinned?

This is an on-going HISTORIC FIRE. It is far from over... it's going to spread rapidly with no rain in the forecast and nothing but dry trees to fuel it.

With ALL THE CRAP that gets pinned... I don't understand why this story is not being covered and updated by many GLPers. It's a record breaking fire in the USA... reducing possibly hundreds of homes to ash, evacuating (and killing) people and animals, etc... this is becoming a natural disaster that humans have NO ANSWER for. The firemen are standing there simply watching it burn. NOTHING they can do, despite their best efforts.

It simply amazes me the priorites around here.

This thing is getting huge!!!

It really is. I don't think most people realize the scope of how large a fire it is and the fact that it's ZERO (0)% contained! It's going to keep spreading for quite some time.

I've seen pictures of large houses that are literally nothing but ash piles now.

This MONSTER fire will be on-going for a long time and they expect it to spread quickly and worsen. I hope some GLPers on the west coast (local) can give us some more relevant updates soon on this historic wildfire event.

I am living in colorado springs. Its very dry here. Perfect ground kindling all dried up etc. A piece of glass magnifying the sun or someone's cigarette butt will send the whole forest into flames.

It's a serious drought here.

The New Mexico fire is one million acres ! This is pinned ? Wow... The N.M. fire is over 40 milesx40 miles.!!! A square mile is 640 acres.

ya went campin out west-up near fall river rd, this past weekend, MAN I tell ya its like August-how dry it is--no camp fires for us--jus camp stoves.

They have the fricken ability to soak the fire with rains if they so chose to. They have been manipulating the weather for decades now and like an above poster alluded to this is how they remove people from rural areas without having the blame on their shoulders.

I've often wondered with all the nano particulates they have been dumping on us from above, that it has coated everything with an almost invisible accelerant and all it needs is the spark to set off these type of unprecedented fires.

Seems plausible, we are witnessing the creeping death that is Agenda 21 and it's early on set and implementation.

With an avatar name such as yours it is unwise to take the Lords name in vain. Please put some thought into changing your name.

There are a few fire restrictions that people in Ruidoso should know about. Commercial fire pits can not be used on public or private land, and people can only smoke in closed vehicles or indoors. Campfires and fireworks are also banned. No warnings are being given out--- you will be cited on the spot if you're seen violating any of these restrictions.

Scorched earth policy makes it a little harder for anyone to survive outside the city. Makes it easier to spot people and structures with FLIR, too.

Good point. No discussion on the effects of all that harmful smoke in the air. The videos show huge smoke clouds and plumes hundreds of feet in the air... being carried by the winds.

I honestly don't think people give much of a fuck anymore about ANYTHING that happens until it literally knocks on their door. I understand many GLPers are an exception, which is why we come here, for information, but the sheeple, don't understand the big picture of what is going on in the world. Ignorant bliss... lucky them.
