Perth still has blackouts, traffic lights not working in many places, trees across roads still.
All coastal towns and many inland as well, all the way down the south west of Oz.
I am talking hundreds of kilometers! This is huge area!

More severe storm warnings for tomorrow night!

I (and about 130,000 others) have had no power since yesterday and might not for a few more days(or even a week)
Mobile phones wern't working in many places too.
It's winter here, sitting by candle light and cold(and laptop going flat)
Most shops are shut.
Driving around is dangerous from trees, branches and power lines across roads,it's like a disaster area every town you drive through!

Schools have been told to send all students home at 1pm. First time I have known this to happen, must be a very big storm. hf

I feel sick in the stomach. Will have to make sure my phone and laptop are recharged. I hope it doesn't hit at night that makes it more scarier.

Didn't know that part about the kids, will check with the school tomorrow

Just got power on here, but have trees down with one falling on a water tank.
The roads are still a mess although all the larger debris has been cleared. Hopefully tonight is not as bad as they are predicting.
PINNED to keep the information flowing.
Take care everyone hf

Climate Change, gets worse yet, Also one to remember, by removing surface mineral anomalies will have a dramatic effect on climate, as deposits such as magnetite, and uranium, are removed, will conract the energy system 'remember, it is a living earth, the price 'we' pay, for the next generations.5a

Augusta-Margaret River to cop brunt of second storm

THE Augusta-Margaret River region will the worst hit area in tonight's storm, according to the latest warning from the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM).

BOM issued a severe weather warning at 2pm today for people in parts of WA south of a line from Geraldton to Laverton to Forrest.

This includes people in, near or between Geraldton, Dalwallinu, Jurien Bay, Southern Cross, York, Perth, Mandurah, Bunbury, Busselton, Margaret River, Bridgetown, Albany, Katanning, Narrogin, Esperance, Kalgoorlie and Eucla.

An intense storm is expected to hit the south of the state from late Tuesday afternoon and evening.

The worst conditions will commence late afternoon or early evening in the Augusta-Margaret River area, reaching Perth metropolitan area later in the evening.

This storm will be of similar strength to the system that affected the South West on Sunday though this storm will also affect the south coast significantly and extend further inland.

It is expected to cause widespread dangerous winds in excess of 125 kilometres per hour which could cause significant damage or destruction to homes or property.

Re: Storms across Western Australia,Perth to Albany, most still have no power
I have received a notice from the school to ring tomorrow to see whether they are open and live SOR, my friend and bro live NOR and received the same note home from their schools. Never got this sort of notice before and found it weird or o you think they'll be preparing or power cuts or is it a lot worse than we think?

It was my sons birthday on March 22 when we got hit with that massive hailstorm in 2010 and funny enough it's my daughter's birthday tonight at midnight when this storm will "apparently" be at its peak.

Stay safe everyone hf
