It cost me $40... No joke! Ha, seriously? Well not too far off in the US with our rising costs for everything. Sigh, people don't realize that in the age of fiat money, it really doesn't matter what they raise your minimum wage too. Its just going to cause disruption and prices will simply rise to reflect the new minimum wage. Plus politicians get to fool idiot voters into thinking it makes a difference. |

Quoting: Sir Griffo AT LEAST 100,000 of WA's lowest paid workers will soon get a pay rise - with the state’s Industrial Relations Commission (IRC) deciding to lift the minimum wage today. The WA IRC this afternoon announced its decision to award a 3.4 per cent increase, which will increase the minimum weekly wage by $20.60 to $627.70, or a minimum hourly working rate of $16.52. The increase will be given to the 100,000 West Australian workers that are covered by State Awards, and those that are already on the minimum wage. [link to www.perthnow.com.au] Good. In the western world low income jobs have been going up far less then the cost of living has gone up in the past ~25 years. |

You can get a loaf of bread for $1, but better quality $4-5. Electricity is very expensive, and gas. And petrol is as well. $600 a week doesn't go very far in Perth these days. |

Quoting: BRIEF I would be a stock checker for that kind of dough. Only the younger crowd makes less. Most people in Australia won't accept a job under 16 an hour. Good for them. |

Quoting: BRIEF retard you need cashier do you think everybody can become a engineer or a ceo? these shit jobs count for over 7% of australian jobs Look, I'm not making fun of you for being a cashier...I'd never show up to your other job and throw rocks at you while you're mowing either...I just think $20/hr for jobs a monkey can do is too much, and it contributes to inflation...
