Do I have to answer to cops knocking on my door at my home?

if they choose 2 you have 2 options..

1) Hide in you super secret spot no one can find you without an x-ray machine or sniffing dogs

2) quickly lay in bed pretending to sleep with big headphones on and a hidden camera recording the whole thing saving the stream on the internet as it happens... then hope for the best


but never ever answer for them if you didnt call them

as a former Federal Agent w/ the Dept of Justice: you have to answer the door or this will happen.

1. the get a search warrant
2. they don't get a search warrant
3. they no longer need a search warrant for this reason:
commission of a felony; felony destruction; tampering of
evidence; fleeing felon (meaning you can get away); and/or welfare check (aka I just wanna see what's going on)

4. all of the above are arrestable offenses. 1. is arrestable offense because you PISSED THEM OFF!

remember, they don't have to charge you until 72 hrs. Show-me-the-body in front of a judge in 48 hrs.

No warrant, no show.
If cops get in, and already going thru the yard, is trespassing. Criminal.

In Fl, all you need to tell the cops is "yes, I was on my way fishing/hunting and was well within the law (if in a condo).... or taking the trash out to the END OF MY DRIVEWAY (not curb); (that is if you are in a single family residence).

I would have used a shape charge to blow a large hole in your door, and then walked over and yelled, "Fire in the hole!" and tossed a grenade inside.

You must only answer the door if it is landshark. you are authorized to ignore all others.

They have to have grounds for a 'search warrant' and no, contempt of cop is not worthy of a warrant. Nothing the OP did could be considered a 'felony' in Florida.
