Friend, I think your conceptualization of this is confusing you. It's a little all over the place. Your heart has brain cells (neurons) that help make up its composition... Think of it as a second processing center for your consciousness. There is a very specific set of positive emotions that originate from the heart. Think of all of the emotions you feel with your heart. You certainly do not 'fear' with all your heart, or hate with all your heart, or judge with all your heart. There is a very specific set of negative emotions that originate from the mind (ego). You do not care & love others with all your 'mind', or communicate a sincere & honest truth to someone from the bottom of your 'mind'.... Is the difference between the emotions associated with the heart versus the emotions associated with the mind more distinct now? Love/Compassion/Acceptance/Respect/Empathy vs. Fear/Hate/Judgement/Envy/Greed. The gentleman being interviewed is telling you (us) that we must abandon this mind-controlled and mind-dominated consciousness that permeates our world and embrace a heart-identified consciousness by looking 'within'.

You actually do not want to identify with the thought of thinking 'logically' when we go through this. That is a left-brain generated thought process and one that is already heavily prevalent in this world we live in - it leads to much close-minded thought because it does not account for that which is not presently 'known' or easily understood. Logic only operates within the confines of what is accepted as the 'truth' and it has no consideration for foreign knowledge that operates outside the confines of one's own consciousness.
