Damn ! The Dingo Did Take Her Baby | |

The chamberlains were stitched up! I met Michael chamberlain back in the nineties and he was a broken man. All those people that were there and not called up to testify. The aboriginal trackers who found dingo tracks outside the tent were not called either. Absolute disgrace!! And a family destroyed! |

I remember very well how biased the reporting was on this story at the time, it was puire tabloid fodder. The rags love the idea of the mother who murders her child... every time a high profile case like that occurs the media is all over it subtly hinting that mommy did it. The Madeline Mcann thing, they were all looking at the parents, even the cops were going for it. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 723015 Australia 06/12/2012 08:34 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This came up a while ago and they said the dingo did indeed take the baby why has this resurfaced now old news. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17802950 Because recently a coroner held an inquest into the babies cause of death. Today she released her findings, and for the first time it was officially recognised that the baby's cause of death was the dingo attacking her. |

The case absolutely split the public down the middle at the time; I remember my grandmother accusing Lindy Chamberlain of being the murderer. Trial by media with the NT police needing a conviction, and poor Lindy was stitched up. A horrible miscarraige, and only now thirty years later does the final verdict come out. Shocking. |

THe media whore. I remembered being a student during the Azaria case. Day in day out - the media blasted all kinds of rumours abt the Chamberlains running cults. Totally disgusting. I am surprised Lindy didn;t mount a legal case against all the newsprints. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1246800 Australia 06/12/2012 09:56 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Remember - it was only thru pure luck (??) that the Chamberlains were vindicated. There was a certain pommie backpacker tourist who decided to scale the red rock at alice. He felled to his death during the climb and his body landed a short distance from where the baby's jump suit was discovered. I am sure it was abt 5 years later than the suit was discovered close to a dingoes lair. almost unbelievable. |
