I read this on the BBC news site last night. They had a quote from some guy who'd rushed to his aid but then left because his boat was arriving. Couldn't help thinking that I'd have opted to miss the boat and try and help since someone's life was possibly hanging in the balance. Certainly I wouldn't have made it common knowledge.
