Good point Look'N... Also important to note that if we believe in our own immortality or eternal existence, then we can look outside the confines of labels such as 'parent' or 'child'. Those words only have relevance to this specific physical incarnation or lifetime. A son or daughter is every bit as much of an eternal spirit as a father or mother. Those labels are just the 'roles' that we are playing in this lifetime. So while we feel the need to be a 'provider' & 'protector' of our children and loved ones, we can find comfort in knowing that on the spiritual level, they are no different than you or I, neither above nor below us in terms of 'roles' or 'positions'.
