Im sorry but this still isnt making any sense. If Billy wanted a bicycle and wanted to get closer to his experience by purchasing a bicycle horn, sure he is closer to his experience but he still can't go riding down the street on his bicycle.

Its just like me when I moved out of my parents house. I remember getting all worked up about getting my first apartment. I went out and bought a new computer, pots and pans, cleaning supplies, etc...... all while still living at home with my parents and those items sat there for about a month until I was finally approved at an apartment complex. All this brought me closer to my experience but I didn't get to experience what it is like having my first apartment until I actually got it.
