It looks to me you are reconciling myth with archetypes with symbols with how the mind functions?
 Quoting: Unit3

Yes! Excellent!

But it is more than that. There are shapes involved. Relationships. The archetypes are alive.

Here is the quote to which I refer:

I'm not sure about your other references, but ThohT is a symbol of "thought", which is where all symbols reside. And of course Thoth (the Egyptian Tehuti, or lah-Tehuti, or Yahweh), the holder of the ankh (original Ecsys symbol).
 Quoting: Chaol

Chaol introduced us to Egyptian gods, then called the Egyptians "terrorists". I think it is because the apparent knowledge displayed by the Egyptians is a corruption of something introduced to them by an earlier culture.

Why, then, the Egyptians? Why not, say, the Sumerians? Or the Mayans? Or some other system? Why the Egyptians?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6853315

Aren't the archetypes alive because of perspective? Iow, my husband is alive, yet I know I also created him.

And I do not know why the Egyptians, but I would love to know. I have searched and searched and can't really pin it down. However, I am good at reading between the lines and if you share your thesis, I might be able to glean something useful. I can tell you have studied this and would like to pick your brain, so to speak, heh!

So the ankh is the original Escys symbol? Must think about this for a while. Thanks.
