AG Eric Holder Appoints 2 Attorneys To investigate NS Leaks. 1 Attorney Donated To Barack Obama's U.S. Senate Campaign, Calls Obama A "Legen
----

Resisting calls to appoint a special prosecutor, Attorney General Eric Holder has assigned two Justice Department attorneys to investigate national security leaks that may have originated in the White House and are widely seen as bolstering the president's campaign for re-election.

Ronald Machen, the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, is one of the attorneys assigned by Holder to the leak case. In a 2010 profile in the Washington Post, Machen referred to Obama as a "legend" at Harvard and admitted that he was a great admirer of Obama and donated money to the president's 2004 senate campaign.

I'm sure we can expect Mr. Machen to do a thorough job...of looking the other way.

Machen was recommended for the job by Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.), who submitted his name to President Obama. Obama nominated him, and the Senate confirmed him.

Machen has long admired Obama -- since his days at Harvard Law School, where Obama already was a "legend," Machen said. In 2003, Machen was one of the first people to donate to Obama's U.S. Senate campaign, long before he emerged on the national political stage.

Isn't it so nice when you can appoint your own buddies to help you out with a cover-up?

... one of the two attorneys appointed by Holder last week has an interesting connection to Obama. It seems that Ronald Machen (one of the attorneys appointed) has donated $4,350 to Obama’s various campaigns over the years. Think there might be a bit of a conflict of interest here?

Attorney General Eric Holder should resign

We know these leaks came from the Obama administration, and some may have even come from the Justice Department. Mr. Holder faces a clear conflict of interest. This is exactly the type of situation that calls for a special prosecutor.

Unfortunately, Mr. Holder has rejected that option and instead chosen Ronald Machen, the US Attorney for the District of Columbia, to lead an investigation. This decision offers yet another example of Holder’s poor judgment. Mr. Machen has donated thousands of dollars to President Obama’s political campaigns; he vetted vice presidential candidates for the Obama team in 2008; and he got his first job as a federal prosecutor from, you guessed it, Eric Holder.

In short, Mr. Machen’s inquiry will not seem truly independent. It is insulting for the attorney general to pretend otherwise. Once again he has shown his penchant for putting politics ahead of justice.

Americans deserve an Attorney General who will uphold basic standards of honesty, transparency, and accountability. They deserve an attorney general whose loyalty to the justice system will trump his loyalty to the White House. They deserve an attorney general who will treat Congress and the public with respect, not contempt. They deserve someone better than Mr. Holder.

What would you like for them to release? Have they not released every thing that was asked for? You can't just write up a warrant that says give me everything you have. You must be specific. That is the problem Darrell Issa had. He went to the DOJ and said give me everything you have that might have to do with Operation Fast and Furious and I'll try to see if I find any wrong doing. The request must be made for specific documents not blanket searches. Blanket searches are a sign of a witch hunt.

There obviously is a cover-up in both the leaks case, and fast & furious. Eric Holder, Barack Obama, DOJ, and the white house refuse to release all of the infomation and documents they are holding... and covering-up.

Now... Answer these 3 questions.

Re: AG Eric Holder Appoints 2 Attorneys To investigate NS Leaks. 1 Attorney Donated To Barack Obama's U.S. Senate Campaign, Calls Obama A "Legen
So, who are all of the leakers?

Who will be sacrificed for Barack Obama's election?

The story is obviously biased and implies there is a coverup when no such evidence is apparent. I am "filling in" the details they "forgot".

Anyone following this case already knows who the other Attorney is. You are just making a sad attempt to shill for Obama.

There obviously is a cover-up in both the leaks case, and fast & furious. Eric Holder, Barack Obama, DOJ, and the white house refuse to release all of the infomation and documents they are holding... and covering-up.

Now... Answer these 3 questions.

How about we find a special prosecutor that doesn't have deep ties to all of these corrupt politicians?

Why doesn't Eric Holder, DOJ, and The White House release all of the information on the leaks, and fast & furious...?

Wouldn't that be going by the "Transparency" Barack Obama promised the American people?

Would you like them to put it on the internet? Every single document that has anything to do with Operation Fast and Furious. I'm sure there is confidential information in a lot of it. And the Leak case is being handled by the FBI. Isn't that sufficient for you?
