| Kayak Pulling Kayak Offer Upgrade  User ID: 1544142  United States06/12/2012 10:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So, I went to a really nice dentists office yesterday I have nice straight teeth but I haven't been to a dentist in around 10 years and I drink tea, lots of tea with honey, by TN standards I have great teeth but I have some issues that need addressed before they become real problems I can't mix hot with cold because of the pain and I can't eat chocolate and sweet stuff because of the pain so obviously my teeth need some work, their not bad but they are starting to decay around the gum line I have been expecting to get veneers or crowns or anything fake for years, I brush regularly but I eat and drink what I want and know that teeth wont last forever and I know dentist work is expensive so... I go into this fancy dentist and ask for his opinion after lots of xrays and pictures they sit me down and give me their recommendation, they want to give me 28 porcelain veneers Awesome, thats what I wanted anyway Then they tell me the price $67,000.00 So, I have decided to go back to school and become a dentist Hows that for a conspiracy I really wanted fake teeth before the zombie apocalypse  Doom on! |

I thought that was too expensive and I happened to be going to colombia and while there, my friend there told me the same thing in bogota was 100 dollars. The dentist pulled 9 baby teeth, and 2 permanent teeth when she was in 3rd grade. Then she got stuck with a head brace that hooked into her braces. She had to eat yogurt, baby food, and mashed potatoes food for months... Later on to fix the damage when she was older...they grinded down 2 more permanent teeth to put a implant and bridge in. I think some dentists just go for the most and work down the price from there. One thing is it costs a tremendous amount of money to learn how to be a dentist, so in a way I can understand wanting to go for as much money as possible. The thing is that many people don't have tens of thousands of dollars to spend, so it does not make any sense to offer a procedure that costs thousands and thousands of dollars. My problem was I didn't go to see the dentist as often I should and little problems became big problems. I know better now and see the dentist twice a year and get any minor problems taken care of. If my dentist said something like that to me I would not be upset, but I would get a good chuckle out of it. I'd say, seriously, oh that's a good one. |
