I just enjoy knowing how people think and why they like things they do and often ask people why they like the teams they do. So bump in case someone else thinks like this as well, or has a sweet story explaining why they love certain teams. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 14391380 Gotya! I can't wait until next season. They just didn't have their offense together this year, especially acquiring a new pg so late. They could have been much better. Oh well, they will be better next year and Kobe will get his 6th! |

I stopped watching games on TV about 4 years ago when I realized this is all about maintaining a divide and conquer mentality, e.g. my tribe vs. your tribe. Occasionally, I'll check to see how those teams are doing and I still play fantasy football, but it's not the same feeling as it was before. |

Back then the Browns were good and the Steelers sucked (yes, I grew up a long time ago), but the Pirates were good and the Indians sucked. Most people in my town were Browns and Pirates fans. I was influenced by the best players of the time, so I liked Jim Brown, Willie Mays, and Bill Russell. I am a Browns, Giants, and Celtics fan. Free speech is never free. Well I know it wasn't you who held me down Heaven knows it wasn't you who set me free So often times it happens that we live our lives in chains And we never even know we have the key - Eagles |

We are easily the most passionate fans in the NFL. Finally this year we may have a playoff worthy team. Best talent we have had since 03 and the softest schedule we have had in a long time. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 7736082 Lol, yes I stopped being a fan of them when I was like 5 and I already explained why. If that was over your head, sorry. Also, good luck. You have the Pats in your division, so you may make a wild card? Doubt it. |

At 11 years old I was off to my 1st Ball game, a Sox game. We got there to find out it was cancelled because "Disco Demolition" wrecked the field the night before at Commisky Park. The next week, a friend and myself ditched school and took the L down to Wrigley field. We sneaked in about the 3rd inning. As we were running up the ramps we saw two topless women walking down the ramp. That was the first 4 breasts I had ever seen in real life. I've been a Cubs fan ever since. ;-`) We all breathe the same air. .-.. --- ...- . / .- .-.. .-.. |

Comiskey was the first stadium I ever went to see a game outside of Cincinnati. It was the 4th of July, they had an awesome firework show. Anonymous Coward User ID: 15146787 Canada 06/13/2012 01:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I like Notre Dame for college football just because my older brother and our friends liked them. Part of it is also parental/family/peer influence. Baseball I like the Blue Jays because they're the only Canadian team. Basketball I go for whoever is playing against the Heat. lol Actually I love the Bulls because of the Jordan era, and now I like Derrick Rose. Hockey I go for the Canucks because I live in Vancouver. So yea, I guess its a big combination of geography, preferred players and family and friends influence, at least in my case. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 7393607 United States 06/13/2012 01:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I was born in VA and my family raised me a deadskins fan (through thick and thin, mostly thick). at least we have RG3 now. I now live in carolina and enjoy watching the panthers (it works out since the two teams are in different conferences) my sis went to Appalachain State and we use to go watch the games and Armanti Edwards play and he now plays for carolina. Im a Va-Tech fan myself, almost all of my family went there. too bad outta state tuition is through the roof. but they are my college team. Baseball is Yankees. My dad and his side of the family was born in NY so i was just raised a yankee fan. im not a big NBA fan but i like the OKC thunder. They have been down in the dumps so long (in seattle) its good to see a team make a come back. Durant is a class act too. However i wouldnt mind seeing the HEAT win just so ppl will shutup about them getting the ring and things can go back to normal. i enjoy the chat during the game last night too btw, see you thursday. Bosh will make game winning 3. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 5240732 United States 06/13/2012 02:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | NFL - Miami Dolphins and NY Giants. I grew up during the Dan Marino years and had a huge crush on him, hence becoming a Dolphin fan (despite living in NJ). I always liked the Giants too, because they are the local team and are NFC, and therefore not rivals of the Fins (like the dirty Jets) These days, after so many years of disappointment, I'm more of a Giants fan than Dolphins... NBA/MLB - couldn't care less NHL - RANGERS! I was never really into hockey, and occasionally rooted for the Devils (I'm in NJ), but my husband is a diehard Ranger fan and he converted me :) Next year we will get the cup! Oh and we are also HUGE Hershey Bears fans!! My husband grew up in PA and his folks still live there (Caps fans!) so we go to Bears games all the time :) |

Yes he is. But until Jones entered the stage I never realized it was possible to hate someone you see on TV. Current favorite is tough one to answer but all time favorite is hands down Fedor Emelianenko. Unfortunately he also has the worst manager of all time.
