I think it always boils down to three reasons. Geography The best team/person The underdog due to a likability factor For me personally (but I only watch MMA) it is all about the likability factor. Skills are of course important as well but it really is primarily the likability factor for me. If you are a douche (*cough Jon Jones *cough) nozzle, I want to see you lose, no matter how good you are. Quoting: Psych OMG, Jon Jones is a beast though! Who is your favorite fighter, current and all time? Quoting: Patrick Bateman Yes he is. But until Jones entered the stage I never realized it was possible to hate someone you see on TV. Current favorite is tough one to answer but all time favorite is hands down Fedor Emelianenko. Unfortunately he also has the worst manager of all time. [ link to www.bloodyelbow.com] [ link to www.bloodyelbow.com] Quoting: Psych Fedor was a beast. I love Belfort because he is so good with his hands plus his BJJ and submissions, which is pretty much the style I used. I did not know much BJJ, but was a shootfighter and knew a shit ton of submissions. I like Shamrock because I love how Lions Den fights as well. I used to match my training with theirs. Train to take a beating but give a harder one. Those guys were in great shape and tough as fuck. Quoting: Patrick Bateman Belfort was spectacular. Swarming his opponent. I think there is still something left in him but I haven't seen it yet. And now he is injured again so don't know when and against who his next fight will be. Against Anderson Silva was definitively not what he envisioned. I liked watching Ken Shamrock too. Steroid bodybuilder with skills. It's a shame his ego destroyed the Lions Den. One of the funniest press conference moments ever:
