I live right by it. Fuck! And the LORD spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it. I am an evil giraffe, and I shall eat more leaves from this tree than perhaps I should, so that other giraffes may die. |

I was at the public meeting that the NRC held to 'address public concerns', back in February IIRC, and let me tell you -- they were not listening to public concerns, it was just a media event to talk past the people and get the official position out to the local propaganda, er, media. |

I agree, they did the same thing to us in Omaha, with the flooding last year that sunk our Fort Calhoun plant. "what would you do if you, knew all the things we knew. Anonymous Coward User ID: 13373850 United States 06/13/2012 06:27 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Palisades nuclear power plant is shut down. Officials at the plant removed it from service due to what is being described as a "small leak" in the plant's safety injection and refueling water tank. That tank holds as much as 300-thousand gallons of water that is used remove heat from the reactor's core in the event of a coolant accident and to increase "shutdown safety margin." Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17172516 [link to hisz.rsoe.hu] Covert, MI is about 45 minutes northwest of South Bend, IN. I live 30 min north of South Bend and I had a feeling that this may have been a culprit in the radiation spike over SB last week, as the air currents flow that way. Ugh- Palisades is CONSTANTLY being cited for violations!!! |

Back when those chucklehead electricians dropped a tool into an electrical panel and wreaked havoc in the control room, the controllers only narrowly managed to shut the reactor down. According to the NRC, there was no time to go and do the procedure again if they didn't get it right the first time! |

[link to topics.mlive.com] However, I consider my life worth nothing to me; my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace. Acts 20:24 "This man really is the Savior of the world!" John 4:42 Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen. I am the Alpha and the Omega, " says the Lord God, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty." Revelation 1:7 |

What is happening to the human race is the same as what happens to the frog when put in to a pot of cold water and brought slowly to the boil.. we are being slowly boiled and are too stupid to feel the water heating up and do something to stop it.. Its only a matter of when not if, america begins to glow in the dark and your lazyness and stupidity kills the rest of the world.. |

We have 65 commercially operating power plants across the country, how do you propose we stop them from existing? Living in St Joe, it's impossible NOT to know people working at either nuke plant. What gets me is the lack of information most people have re what to do in case of a nuclear emergency. Meijer is the only place you can go to get iodine tablets and even then they give such an insignificant number/one dose (enough for one person) FOR THE ENTIRE HOUSEHOLD. With the way the air currents flow, the safest evacuation would be to drive north to northeast, btw. *sighs* |
