BREAKING INTEL: Some UN Observers in Syria are on a Spy Mission - Gathering Intel on Russian Naval Base in Tartus
A Jordanian member of the UN observer team in Syria says some of his teammates are carrying out spy missions by collecting information about Syria’s military headquarters.

The Jordanian officer, who was not named in the report, was quoted by the Lebanese al-Diyar newspaper as saying that the Western members of the team, in particular head of the UN mission in Syria, Major General Robert Mood, conduct acts of espionage against the Syrian government.

He said the monitors, on the order of Mood, made a visit to the port city of Tartus that hosts a Russian naval base and is of high military and security importance and sensitivity.

DAMASCUS, Syria, June 13 (UPI) — Russian state-controlled arms trader JSC Rosoboronexport intends to fulfill its contract to supply arms to Syria, the agency’s No. 2 official said.

“No one can ever accuse Russia of violating the rules of armaments trade set by the international community,” Deputy Chief Executive Officer Igor Sevastyanov said in Paris in remarks carried by Russia’s RIA Novosti news agency Wednesday.

“The contract was signed long ago and we supply armaments that are self-defense rather than attack weapons, and there can be no talk about any violations by Russia or Rosoboronexport either de jure or de facto,” he said in response to a question about whether Russia would continue to carry out its contract to supply Pantsir-S1 short- to medium-range surface-to-air missiles and anti-aircraft artillery weapon systems to Syria.

If I was Russia, I'd be concerned about the Muslim satanic Brotherhood's undeclared war and their annexing of territory, mental, physical, geographical and spiritual.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is preparing a major offensive in the coming days against the opposition targeting his regime, an informed Syrian government source confirmed.

The source told WND yesterday Assad was warned by Russia that if the coming counterinsurgency targeting the opposition is not successful in the next 4-6 weeks, Syria should be prepared for a war.

not saying i believe all or any of this, but interesting reports

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if the UN observers were taking advantage of the fact they're there to get some info on the base, although I would imagine the US, UK and Israel (at the very least) probably have spies there anyway.

Yeah, I forgot about China lol.

As I said in the thread last night, I think both sides in Syria are being armed by someone (namely the west are arming the rebels, and Russia are arming Assad), which is almost turning this into a cold war type scenario.

it's quickly becoming that type of scenario...I wouldn't be surprised if there is a "damascus wall" installed at some point soon.

The U.S. has hundreds of active operatives in Syria, they would not infiltrate and/or use the UN observer team for this... For obvious reasons, and... They don't need to.
