Yes. I gave my cousin my rose quartz when she was in labor since I could not be there. Rose quartz for love, calmness, and being that it was mine, it held my energy. Her church made her throw it away because "it was of the devil and it would ruin her life". Seriously? A rose quartz that comes from the earth? I don't understand the logic.

This is what I mean. It's MEAN. Those same people would have no problem if she asked them to turn on her ipod because there was classical music that would calm her. They would be happy to do that.

This is the root of my question. If crystals are not to be utilized by Christians then basically, if you are not living an Amish lifestyle you are no better than a crystal user.

It is mean. I am sure she threw it away too, and just didn't want to tell me b/c they probably scared the crap out of her. Geez, it was a pretty little pink stone, lol.

Maybe they thought it had witchy intentions on it, since it was a gift BUT I still believe Christians should believe God overcomes anything they feel is "wrong" in that stone. They could have silently prayed him to cleanse it if they had any doubts and I believe there are examples in the Bible where we are given the okay to do certain things that may not go with our religious practices (using the word religious on purpose here) as to not offend another person, such as eating things we normally aren't to eat. Well, this was an example in the OT, we really don't have that law under Christ but the example was set to not offend, especially when someone is doing something with good intentions, like feeding you (or giving you a quartz out of concern/love).
