all I can say is

OH

I am reading this little treat of a book (not through the first yet) but I was implored by many of my clients to read this "amazing" book. UM.....well.....

It's exactly like written porn!

I'm surprised how many of my older ladies are reading it and love it? WTF? I blush and have to look around to make sure no one can read my mind.

What do ya'll think about it?spankwhipflashbananasexcrazyjak

It is being made into a movie and you should see the men trying out for it.

Ian Somerhalder and Jensen Ackles for starters, and many other hotties.

I was thinking about buying (It's a 3 part series no?)

I heard it was pretty steamy. What's the story line about?

I don't have any idea who could be THAT good....he will probably be way better in my imagination. I have a client from the UK who said her friends are wanting to come to Seattle to "look" for the amazing Mr. Gray....lolz and these ladies are in their late 50's to early 60's....sheesh.

I'm still only on the first book and not far at that.... but.... I think it dabbles into BD/SM....I never thought women would be into THAT. Go figger... but yes it's a three part trilogy.... OF course the man involved is AMAZINGLY handsom, billionare, late 20's (as if)...kinda a Cinderella in leather with whips and chains....lol oh.....and.... HE is the DOMINANT.... not her.

I didn't like the book. I found it very repetitive, and poorly written. It was originally written as Twilight fan fiction, but the author just changed the characters and self published. The whole 'inner goddess' business was gag worthy.

I don't hate myself enough to read the second or third book.

When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana's quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too?but on his own terms.

Shocked yet thrilled by Grey's singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success?his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family?Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey's secrets and explores her own dark desires.

Thankyou for the recommendation. I'll definitely check it out. I've been listening to a lot of audio books lately, while pottering around the house and garden. I've just finished The Magicians, by Lev Grossman. I highly recommend. It's a bit like Harry Potter, but darker, and the main character are older. Unfortuneately I can't get the second book on audio in Australia :(. Another book I've just finished, and enjoyed was Ready Player One, by Ernest Cline. I love books.

Fifty Shades of Gray...It's written a hundred times worse than was Twilight, and that is saying a lot.

The Magicians by Grossman...I am still debating whether to read The Magician King or not. Quentin is just not likable, so it is hard to invest the attention to the story.

While I tend to agree with ya'll.....I still have to tip my hat to someone who can take masses of women (all ages) and have them literally squirming with desire. ALSO I really didn't think about the Twilight connection... but you are right.... I was buying a series for my daughter on her Kindle (she is 15) last thing she had read was Hunger games and it suggested the 50 Shades series....

I am SOOOOOO glad I didn't buy that for her!!! I hadn't heard of it at the time. I would've been hostile.

I'm still freaked out by the amount of women talking this book up. I'm very certain that the men/significant others are thrilled.... their women are SUBMISSIVE and Ravenous. Hmmmmmm.

Can't be all bad but I gotta say the BD/SM really confuses me.

I'm on the second book now and I'm loving the series so far, I can hardly put the books down. I live in the Seattle area so it's nice to be able to know exactly where the author is talking about when she's describing places and buildings. I read where they're pitching the idea of playing Christian Grey to Ryan Gosling and he's got the dark side to him so he could probably pull it off.
