Could have to do with the heat your fingers give off if they are heat sensored touch screens. I worked in the telecommunications industry for 11 years. When heat sensor touch screens first came out there actually were people who had colder fingertips and the sensors would not pick up their touch.

I'm not sure if the iPhone is a heat sensor though.

the reason your fingers do not work is because your body is low of Magnezium. You can take pills in the Vitamin section for this. My sister has the same problem.

I hate small push buttons and do not use them. In the year 2015 when everyone has the smallest sleekest tools, I'll be carrying around a small laptop just so I can use the buttons.

I have the same issue.

Try dampening your finger tips. These screens work on conductivity, meaning that electrical circuit is made through the contact of your finger. If you are prone to dry skin (no to little skin oil) you will have more problems with these type of circuits.

If you have oil in your hair, try wiping your fingertips through your hair then use the phone. it may raise your conductivity enough for it to register on the phone.

Same thing happens to me sometimes! I just have an Ipod, though, with the touch-scrolling wheel. I breathe on my finger like I'm trying to fog up a cold window and rub it a little bit. Works like a charm.

The reason I'm here is cuz I just googled "my fingers don't work on touchscreens" ...I've got the same issue. I think mine is due to the fact that I bite the skin in my finger tips and have been doing so since I was very young and in turn the tips of my fingers are extremely rough and bearly have any finger prints left. I'm not saying they completely don't work, but much more often that others. Sometimes I just gotta press a certain way and its annoying. I wrote this on my iphone with a few re-clicks (touches?)
