Looks like Guchol has been upgraded. According to accuweather.com winds are now in excess of 150mph, making Guchol a super typhoon. [ link to www.accuweather.com] Quoting: Anonymous Coward 13519538 Farther north, Guchol will move just off the eastern coast of Japan as it begins to recurve. While it looks as though Guchol may come close to making landfall, the strongest winds, usually found on the eastern side of the storm, look to be mostly offshore. In fact, the main threat the storm poses to the main island of Japan will be its torrential rains. Heavy rain could lead to mudslides and flash flooding, especially in the mountains just west of Tokyo.
