I truly wonder what the reaction would be, if ZT believers universally had the courage to read and ingest 'When Prophecy Fails.' I wonder how they distinguish themselves, qualitatively, from the believers that the book is about.

What was your 'breaking point?' And why then? Was there a particular moment when you found Nancy had gone too far?

Guess I need to write something about this soon...Im a little busy atm, but there's obviously something to be gained by these information so I'll adress it on occasion.

Nancy once said that I was bogus and she would never speak of me again, itried talking to her about many subjects but she/they refused to play ball. STrangely the only other person to say I was bogus was shill, I've been called many things but only bogus by these guys.I still thank shill for opening my eyes up regarding a couple of subjects a few years back.

My post was addressed to Tunnel Vision, as you, Volar, have previously admitted that there is no rational evidence whatsoever that can be used to falsify the PX idea to your satisfaction. Your irrationality on the subject has been repeatedly demonstrated on this and many other threads.

Tunnel Vision, on the other hand, appears to have changed his mind, and now doubts the veracity of the idea. I am merely asking him what changed and why.

Precisely how do my questions relate to what you have posted, Volar? Do you have an actual point? Ever read Festinger's book yourself?

To the contrary, I have never admitted anything of the sort. Go back, and re-read my original post very slowly, to get a better understanding of exactly what was said. this is the third time I have asked you to do this. Is there something wrong with your brain?

Festinger's cognitive dissonance is only another theory, explaining why we have biased opinions, allowing us to believe what we think is true. People like you, and Astromut, are prime examples of what the book is all about. If you have been following Zetatalk, you would then know prophecy has nothing to do with it. The Zetas are NOT "soothsayers". They only use logical reasoning, and experience, to arrive at a conclusion.

I could only come to that conclusion since you were unable or unwilling to admit WHAT specific rational evidence, if any, could be presented to you that would allow you to conclude that the PX idea is false.

If you ARE willing to admit what specific rational evidence could be presented to allow you to conclude that the PX idea is false, I will happily revise my opinion. Until then, I can only tentatively conclude that your unwillingness to do this demonstrates your irrationality on the subject: that it is an ersatz-religious belief.

Festinger's book has been on the shelf a very long time, dating back into the 50's. The outdated psychology stems from Earthquake victims, who believed rumors that there would be more impending disasters following what they had already experienced. His book went on to say when feeling, and facts are in opposition, people will find, or “invent”, a way to reconcile the rumors with information that fit how they already felt, reducing what Mr. Festinger called their “cognitive dissonance.”

Of course, as you should know, analyzing is not the same, as having the same experience one is trying to understand. Without this factor, Festinger himself would be a victim of his own cognitive dissonance. And....since we have no idea what went through HIS mind, or if his own experience paralleled what he proposed, it remains just a theory....nothing else.

Book reports are a waste of time, since the libraries are full of philosophical viewpoints, and how they relate to human emotions, behavior, and ideals. You asked me how the Arthur surmised his thoughts, and I answered your request. Whether I read the book, or not, is insignificant, and only infers you are agreeable, or siding with Festinger's theory. This is akin to you asking me if I have read a certain “religious doctrine”, when there are so many of them around....over 900 known, in fact, according to the “World Almanac”. So....should I just pick one, and believe in it? I think not, since it would affect my "cognitive dissonance".

Some of the most extraordinary photos of Mars has been released, culminating decades of cover-up, originating from JPL/NASA, and other agencies, affiliated with the Science community. This is a milestone movement, we all have been waiting for, and I congratulate those responsible for this bold move to inform the public.

Now, if we can get past the cover-up of Nibiru, this alone would complete most of the puzzle. I feel disclosure will most likely come when it will be no longer possible to support all the mockery, and lies, used to delay what we should have been told from the beginning....Then again, it would be a tremendous shock to anyone told they were about to die.

Stop acting silly....I'm sure most everyone knows what a “blimp” looks like. The video released, however, shows the object in question to be somewhat different, in appearance. The craft was, no doubt, curious about all the fireworks, and came down to investigate.

UFOs are seen quite frequently, just about everywhere. This is very common, as there are photos, videos, and thousands of witnesses, the world over, who will attest to this fact. In fact, the Mexican Government alone was the subject of several complaints from native Mexicans about all the UFOs flying around Mount Popocatepetl, Mexico. 2012 has been a banner year, for UFO sightings, and apparently they are swarming all around us, eagerly awaiting the big event, as time gets nearer. Which reminds me....I must go, and purchase some popcorn to add to my supplies.
