Winds, hit the links for predictions and forcasts, my concern is the amout or rainfall that will wash into the Pacific ocean, and with Japan burning contaminated rubbish and dumping the ash into Toyko Bay, I'd say enough is enough. I'd like to catch a Tuna this season that isnt glowing.

Hi...I lived in "Typhoon Alley" for 6 years. A typhoon and a hurricane are the same thing. When you get on the other side of the international dateline...They call them Typhoons. Regardless of what you want to call them..They are both big bad storms that do not read tracking maps or necessarily go where the weather watchers predict them to go.

Nuclear expert Arnie Gundersen says in a new interview that the Japanese are burning radioactive waste from Fukushima. This ends up not only in neighboring prefectures, but in Hawaii, British Columbia, Oregon, Washington and California.

Radioactive rain-outs were documented recently in British Columbia and Oklahoma with geiger counters.

Gundersen is working with scientists who will publish a paper soon definitively debunking the Canadian and American health officials claims that only harmless levels of radiation are being released.

Gundersen has a high-level contact in the State Department who says that the U.S. government has decided – in the State Department, FDA, etc. to downplay Fukushima. Because of this policy decision, the governments are not really testing for radiation.

So we’ll see another year of radioactive rain-outs, as the Japanese continue to burn radioactive materials.

For those of you who have never lived in typhoon prone areas, this is what the various typhoon conditions mean.

For example, During typhoon season, Guam remains in Typhoon Condition 4 at all times.

CONDITIONS OF READINESS
Following are Tropical Cyclone (Typhoon) Conditions of Readiness (TCCOR), their meanings and actions to take for safety:

TC-4: Destructive sustained winds of 50 knots or greater possible within 72 hours. Stock up on food, bottled water, dry milk, batteries, flashlights, candles and other emergency supplies. TC-4 stays in affect from June 1 to November 30 every year.

TC-3: Destructive sustained winds of 50 knots or greater expected within 48 hours. Initiate a general clean-up around your home, apartment and office. Pick up loose items, such as toys, garden tools and lawn furniture.

TC-2: Destructive sustained winds of 50 knots or greater anticipated within 24 hours. Secure all outdoor property such as picnic tables, barbecue grills, etc.

TC-1: Destructive sustained winds of 50 knots or greater are expected within 12 hours. DODDs schools will close at this time. Fill any available containers with water. Make a final check of food, water and other supplies.

TC-1 CAUTION: Sustained winds blowing at 34 to 49 knots and are expected to reach 50 knots or more within 12 hours. All outdoor activities, except those in direct support of urgent military missions, will be discontinued. The base exchange and commissary close and all non-mission-essential people should be off the streets and in their residences. All AAFES facilities close.

TC-1 EMERGENCY: Destructive sustained winds of 50 knots or greater occurring. All outside activities are prohibited.

Arnie Gundersen has been making money by spreading fear, uncertainty and doubt about nuclear energy for more than a decade. His career has received a measurable boost since March 11, when a large earthquake and powerful tsunami successfully peeled off most of the many layers of protection at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power station.
Ever since that day, Gundersen has been giving scary interviews in a variety of media outlets that include a number of dire predictions. He claimed that the spent fuel pool for unit 4 had gone dry and that he had the video to prove it. That claim remains available on his web site, so he is apparently standing by his early evaluation despite all evidence that contradicts his claim.

He has been making the rounds of the advertiser supported media recently with stories about the dangers of “hot particles” that are so tiny they cannot be picked up by normal radiation detectors. (Note: Radiation can be measured at extremely low levels, far below the levels that can cause human health effects. There is a reason why doctors inject small amounts radioactive materials into their patients as tracers to assist them in diagnosing organ function – those tracers make bodily systems visible without endangering the patient. If the hot particles are so tiny and dispersed that they cannot be detected, they are nothing to worry about.)

How about this?

Newspapers reported on September 10 that Yokohama City would start burying the ashes from sewer sludge in its final processing facility in Naka-ku (special ward). According to the city, the ashes measure less than the national safety standard of 8,000 becquerels/kg and therefore they can be disposed in a normal manner. The ashes have so far tested the maximum 6,468 becquerels/kg.

What the report didn't show the readers is this: Photograph of this final processing facility, "Minami Honmoku Waste Final Processing Facility" (from Yokohama City website), which turns out to be a landfill site on the Tokyo Bay:
