This post is an open message to a mod or admin of this forum, I would like to know if GLP is opposed to free speech. I joined three weeks ago, quoted a website about religion in my posts, I also left a link, and within thirty minutes I was banned AND my account hacked. I have not read the terms of service yet, I feel I could get a straight answer from an admin here in the forum. I would like to know why I was banned(and I requested an un ban, asking what I had done wrong.. I was ignored) and also, who and why hacked my account. I would rather a simple answer and not find out on my own since I'm sure it was a simple misunderstanding. Anyways thank you and good job on the site.

This has happened to me before too. Certain websites and individuals are not tolerated on this site.

I see... Well, if that is the case(and I certainly hope its not, otherwise this is no conspiracy forum at all, it is an insult to the cause) then I was given no fair warning at all. Also, I have seen plenty of off the wall posts on here, some even issuing threats, all my post was about was the atrocities of the Old Testament. I'm wondering why I was banned at all..

There are not many insta bans, but a few. You will learn them, I did the hard way, lol. This is a great place though. If I were you I would pm a mod and ask why you were banned, that way you do not make the same mistake twice. Lol, I did because I thought the first ban was an accident or some type of wide based ban, but was wrong and posted the exact same sentence that got me banned the first time with my first post after upgrading.

How revealing.. What exactly do you mean by insta ban? Do they just ban whoever they may not agree with? Confusing Haha.

And yes, it does seem like a great place, lots of interesting people on here.

On most forums if you ask to be a mod you won't ever get to be one.
This is because most people who ask only want to become mods because of the power and they enjoy using it, to the detriment of other users.

I have been a mod on various forums and chat rooms as have some other people on this thread and you earn the right to be a mod.

Been a mod is a thankless task and you are always the bad guy when some drama happens. You also get all the users who wouldn't talk to you before suddenly sucking up to you and then asking for favours.

So in conclusion been a mod isn't fun it is hard work and often unrewarding work.

Oh no sorry. There are a few sites, names, etc that if you type you will be banned instantly, unless you are an upgraded member, I think. I was posting about another conspiracy(ish) place and the name of the owner and did not realize that it is not allowed. It is actually a good thing though once you think about it and understand it. Stick around, it is a great place.

And no they will not ban you for simply not agreeing with them. All of the admins and mods are pretty fair. Most of them do not even like me, lol. Either way, I love this place and appreciate the work they do. I disagree with some of them but do so in a respectful way, that is all you need to do. They do not ban for disagreeing, but perhaps for being a disrespectful dickhead. or something similar.

Ahh I see, I think I may know what happend now. How interesting.. They should definitely make a list of material and websites they don't allow(although I will admit, I don't see the good in that, this being a conspiracy forum and all, there are always at least two sides to a story, people should be able to hear both). Other than what you have already explained to me(which thank you by the way) I'm still wondering, who hacked it? They changed my personal signature, I have a feeling it was a mod, they were quick to act, whoever it was did not want my posts to be seen by anyone.
