MONSTER User ID: 2122560 United States 06/18/2012 01:27 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | i was online earlier and got knocked off. i restarted the computer and my avast antivirus is not working. at the bottom right my programs should have a little computer icon that is for wireless networks and if that is not displayed then i shouldn't even be able to get online but somehow i am right now. when i go to "my computer" or really anything that is not on the desktop that folder/file/program becomes unresponsive and will not work. so i have limited functionality of some sort yet am online. any thoughts? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17756586 I dont know what you mean, you say you are on the internet but it shows by not having the icon on,your not on it? My advice, get ESET NOD32. I never said they were antivirus programs. I said get rid of ANY antivirus program. You can also try COMODO firewall. All three programs that I mentioned are free. |

I agree I haven't had any anti virus programs for years these two programs and a pop up or ad blocker is all I use and have had no problem. Every anti virus program that I have tried slows the computer down and is always messing with the registry Last Edited by Force King on 06/18/2012 02:21 AM |
