Plastic Money Coming to the US?
Investors business Daily asks the question. We really already have plastic "money" in the form of debit cards, credit cards, etc. Plastic currency? not happening says an expert in the article, who also mentions that if the banking cabal had it way, currency would disappear. Surprising to see it mentioned in a mainstream publication: [link to news.investors.com]

One of the best phrases in existence, which may soon become redundant:

"Cash-in-hand".
:sun:Ardhanarishvara | You died, and death was complete freedom from suffering - bliss. But it very quickly got lonely and repetitive in bliss, so you decided to be born once more. You've been doing this forever.

Whilst I may not agree with what you say, I will defend to the death my right to disagree with you.

Some say "think outside the box". I say "what fucking box?!" xx:taosmilie:

They will go cashless after the election. The digital currency most likely a microchip in your arm... Follow the rules or they will turn it off.

I wasn't sure what to expect with the new polymer bills but I actually prefer them. Much harder to counterfeit and durable. They last much longer so its actually much cheaper to keep up circulation.

"Counterfeiting plastic money is much harder than counterfeiting paper money, he says."

I really don't understand this statement. If anything, I think it's easier. Printing on plastic might not be common knowledge, but it's not like its something thats exotic and uber secret. All you have to do is alter the surface characteristics of the polymer to make its surface amenable to taking ink. Hell, there are off the shelf printers that can do this (inkjet + teslin, inkjet + drafting mylar) and the results look even better than printing on paper.

True, but polymer notes incorporate other features like transparent sections etc that further complicate this. There are other security features in these notes that were not possible before on paper.
