Why is no one talking about December 21st, 2012 anymore?

I know some scientists are talking about a potentially dangerous solar maximus that it is expected to happen in the first 3 months of 2013.

End of the world doom is too far away.

Were close enough to the date and anything could happen now and at anytime. I think we all just want to get it over with. I think it will happen sooner than later. There's just so many tangible ways and things going on. Its already upon us.

Because it's another bullcrap prediction date that spawned way back in the 1980's.

They'll just come up with another date to be distracted by. 2016? Looks like a scary number. What about 2020?
