The only time I have drinks like Cola is when I am out in a restaurant.. generally as I drive I drink soft drinks, so I can not help but think this is stupidity in motion, and I would personally boycott anywhere that allowed such a stupid rule to be enacted.

They already are regulating portion sizes, though as of now it's "voluntarily" after Michelle O talked to the restaurant association last year. Before going to the drive-in movies on Friday, we took the kids to get McDonalds. Now we RARELY get it so it's a treat, the kids got Happy Meals. When I pulled out their food to give to them I was shocked because now they are no longer doing the "fries OR apples" but instead have both a TINY portion of fries AND apple slices. The fries are now a 100 calorie portion, and the apples are 15 calories, per the bag, so like a 1/6 of an apple. The kids were still hungry after their meal.

These are the kinds of people who also wrote and voted for Obamacare and insist to this day that it's A-OK for the government to force you to spend your money on a product and service you may not need or even want. If Obamacare is judged to be constitutional and allowed to remain on the books through the next congress, expect to see this level of Orwellian government on the federal level in short order. Well. so much for eating out. Did you all know that restaurants get their main profits from the sales of soda???????? that they get very little profit from the actual food?

They take a loss on the food to be able to make huge profit on the sodas. It only costs them a few cents cause the restaurant gets huge jugs of syrup delivered from the soda companies and this allows the restaurant to mix the sodas onsite for a few cents and sell it for 1.00-2.00 a glass
