The Creator has given each seed the vocation of resembling its father, the tree
"What is a seed? It is a living being that never stops drawing on the forces and materials of the cosmos to grow and accomplish its task. And its task is to resemble its father, the tree that produced it. The Creator has given each seed the vocation of resembling its father, the tree. That is why, once planted, unless it is defective, all its work will be concentrated on this vocation: it will take from its environment those elements that suit it and will leave the others to one side. It will thus express all those tendencies indicated in the pattern carried within it. The same thing applies to human beings. Since we have been created in the image of God, we are predestined, through developing ourselves correctly, to become like our heavenly Father."
