I have a friend who has waaaaay too much money{and is insane} and he eats gold. He claims it is the secret to longevity possibly even immortality. He and others have it made into a powder from what I understand and consume it along with other things. He swears by it. I think he's nuts and cannot imagine how much gold has been put down his throat and out the other end over the last 30 or so years.

There is really no reason I see to start a gold-based currency. They already own the whole world anyway. Fiat currency has worked fine and could continue to do so.

Seriously...the post that said "he who has the gold makes the rules" is about right. People are silly...gold is only good for a few things in practical use (electronics) and besides that, it's "purdy" and easy to make things from. But because people lust for the shiny stuff (in ancient times and now) people will do anything to get it and thus those with the most gold calls all the shots.

More than likely, they want to rebuild a Monarchy type feudal system and own all the land and resources and we will be "property" they will use to harvest their goods...or maybe just feed us to the lions.
