The basis for all matter...... pure energy is ElectroMagnetic. How it exists is a subject in question.
The basic building block is a photon which is considered to be an oscillating(spinning) EM structure. It propogates as a coupled pair E & M with an orthogonal phase relationship........ maximum electrical gradient at minimum magnetic gradient.
The medium in which EM exists is undefined and one might ask the question...... does time exist for a photon?
As I have stated before it is my belief that E & M are the same force just rotated orthogonally in hyperspace.

Certainly since there is no definitive proof for the construct of our existence then imagination is all we have, but I do believe the basis for everything is as simple as spin momentum. From our perspective a magnetic field is complete, forming a continous flow. An electric field on the other hand is not, it forms a dipole or gradient between two potentials. Thus in actuality my imagination tells me that an electric field is merely a magnetic field that is rotated orthogonally into hyper-dimensional space. Also we already know that in order to manifest what we measure as a static E or M field requires mass to exist. Imagine how captive photons could form particles of matter that produce static EM from individual spin oscillations. Always fascinates me to imagine how it really is.
